Self-governed Immortality with a semi-static body.

I want to live until I choose to die, staying the same age but able to do the standard appearance changes we have today. (Growing hair out, tattoos, whatever.)

Either:

Master Polygot (fluent speaker/writer) of all languages gone or yet to come, or the ability to manipulate nature. Grow trees, raise moutains, generate air or smog, make mammals go into heat...

 

I want the power to tell if a baby is going to grow up evil and the power to use x-rays to kill the fetus in case it will be evil. Though, that womb is a little tough so I have to give it a couple gut shots before I unleash my x-rays of death With these powers I am a walking abortion machine 0_o

 

Anything that starts with the prefix omni- sounds pretty good; omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence... Pretty much all of them ensure a sort of godhood. The ability to have a mastery of all aspects of almost anything pretty much guarantees that you can extrapolate that mastery into a host of other fields, which should overall give you the ability to do anything or the ability to know everything, one way or another. The method to the goal is a bit shaky, but, hands down, if it doesn't start with omni- and you want it, add the prefix. The meaning of the damn word is everything; there's not really a whole lot you can say to countermand that (excepting "rush hour", which is an entire different case).

Other than that, immortality sounds good; it's almost the same thing, in that you're able to gain a mastery over everything, although with the obvious clause that you'd be able to end it (kill yourself) when necessary. Not to sound emo, but after a few million years of so of playing god, life's going to get boring one way or another. Of course, being able to go an random sprees of debauchery and crime without having to worry about the consequences definitely has its upsides.

Those two cases being the most obviously desirable, the next best, in my opinion, seems to be a sort of mind control. Time travel is ridiculously powerful, but half the time you do it, without omniscience (hint, hint), it's going to be almost impossible to get any idea of what the hell is happening. It's going to be a lot like opening up a can of worms; I'd be willing to say that for at least 90% of cases, you're going to end up with a bigger problem than the one you fixed. And, there's all the craziness about meeting your future self and going crazy over it. I'd prefer not to run the risk. For the rest, it seems to be just what gives you the most immediate bang for your buck; actually being to make an immediate difference is always a nice thing.

 

Have to say Metamorphagi, but as I saw in one story (can't remember the name, but it was a very good idea) where they can change all body parts.

This means: Living forever! Looking however you want, being able to frame people for crimes, finding out secrets, and being able to imitate the Uthur/Igraine thing.

And old age can substitute for intelligence in some cases, so learning enough could be even better than omniscience because you only know what you want to know.

 

Chronokinesis. The power to control time. Even if only for a few hours, after all the universe doesnt like being put on hold.

 

I think it might have been said before, but the ability to create your own personal dimension/universe is most appealing to me.

However, Necromancy itself means: a method of divination through alleged communication with the dead; black art.

Divination isn't always about the future though. Often, divination is about finding out information that one cannot currently know otherwise. For example, if I used a Ouiji board, and asked it "What is my neighbor doing right now?" and I got "F-U-C-K-I-N-G", that would be a form of divination.

Mind control would be cool, however as a second necromancy, so I could finally put this thread to its grave (it has been resurrected at least twice, yo! Dang thing just won't stay dead.)

 

I would change my answer now to basically have the ability to use the force, if thats allowed.

Mind control, able to look into the future and force lightning any fucker that gets in you're way.

In all honesty, with the option of any ability at all....

innate, reflexive, Unlimited kinesis... as in all forms, regardless of size weight or density. Telekinesis (the ability to move things with your mind), ThermoKinesis (the ability to change the tempature of things.) Zero Point Energy, Ect.

 

I originally thought that I would like to be a Metamorph so that I could make my peepee bigger. The other day I burned my finger whilst cooking some Mac & Cheese and it really really hurts so I have decided that I would rather have super-human regenerative capabilities.

Edit: I just wanted to clarify that instantaneous healing of small burns just barely won out over morphing into Jessica Alba and touching myself. It was really close though
