Personally, I would go evil. Kill anyone around just to fill my thrust for blood, then get rich and take over the world. Also brainwashing people, even though you can do that with out magic.

Maybe I'd try to find a way to make people more intelligent and use it as often as possible on anyone I can find.

Hmm...I'd abuse it for sure but probably not for the better. I'd for sure become lazier (or efficient as I like to delude myself). Say for example, I have a test tomorrow. I'd imperio the teacher to give me a 100 then wipe the memory of my magic ever happening but the grade still stands. Did I mention money flow would no longer be a problem?

Generally, I'd work on improving my life and perhaps my friends's lives as well. Selfish? Yes
Human nature? Yep

 

Human anture is that power corrupts, and i'm definetly not above human nature, so yer, kill a few of the losers that i know of, conjure money and shit, fck alot of supermodels and really really hot chicks that normaly, i'd never hvae chance with and then yer, try and help the world and shit, family and friends definetly, but for sure, knock bush off his pedastool, killing him and getting the yanks outa the middle east would most likely be the first thing i'd do.

 

I'd summon madeleine's and a cup of earl grey.

Then I'd experiment with all sorts of ideas involving transformation and the Darkness. Yum. It'd be way too much fun.

1. Abuse it? Hell yes. I'd hedge my bets on the whole world domination thing considering that it'd probably be a lot harder than I think it is, and just 'encourage' people to do what I want them to, leaving all the country running business to them most of the time.

2. I thought I'd go for the 'quest for immortality' or 'dark rituals of arcane power' first, but really I'd probably find some way to stop friends and family from dying horrible deaths or becoming incapacitated and that sort of thing, because really, immortality would suck if everyone you loved was dead.

Also, are we assuming that we're the only people with magic, or that there's a magical community?

No love potions, though. Mass chaos would be nice; cut down telephone poles, and break into stores and things. Not necessarily to steal anything, just break in.

Conjure myself a cure for the common cold. Only because I have one at the moment.

My early 'nefarious plot' includes meeting random people on the street, killing them, taking their belongings, and making the bodies disappear. No evidence, no motive, no jail time. But that all seems kinda... small time.

Plan B goes as follows:

Use magic to make my way into living in the superstar suite at a nice hotel. Then go and either 'purchase' a nice car or 'convince' people into chauffering me around. And that's the life.

I don't really want to be famous. Everybody and their brother wanting autographs, or taking pictures, or pointing out every single mistake... that's not for me.

 

Ah, if only magic was at my disposal. Would I abuse it? While I suppose that depends on your opinion of the word abuse. In HP, using magic for everything is not considered abuse, so would it be in this case?

But... yes, I can say I'd be a bit evil. The ability to cause unimaginable pain, to control another's mind, or to tracelessly end a life... ah, the sheer potential. The chaos that could be caused is amazing. Imagine standing back in the shadows, and summoning the tire off a moving car, then promptly disapparating. Or perhaps a tickling curse on a public speaker.

Ah, and we cannot forget the most delicious curse of them all... incendio. The ability to set anything aflame... and the ability to wipe minds or escape quickly.... priceless.
