    Pretty much all of my reccs have been put out there already, but I do have a couple more. First, my obligatory plug of A Game Of Thrones (George RR Martin). One of the best fantasy series out there. I've got a newer one too: Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell (Susanna Clarke). I haven't finished it yet, but I've been enjoying it immensely. Classics-wise, I guess I could plug August 1914 (Alexander Solzhenitsyn). It's a war novel (WWI), and can be especially entertaining if you're fond of history.

    The wheel of time series by Robert Jordan would do nicely.
