Man I have never encountered a game in such constant need for replacement since the last game we played.

Ika has been asking for it for a while with excessive trolling and way over the line personal attacks. Pretty much countless violations of site rules.

Lyrium was given a second chance but decided to come on IRC and spam insults at Sree.

Delphine pretty much said "Fuck DLP" and was losing his/her shit over the use of "cunt", which means they were an awful fit for this site and our culture.

House asked to be banned out of protest, but he's the only one.

Unless other staff decide to go further and/or other cases come up, this should be the extent of any changes. Sorry for the disruption to Games short-term.

Edit: Note that we do not usually explain bans. If someone's banned, assume there is a good reason -- we are quite lenient regarding behaviour and other stuff compared to other sites, and do not ban willy-nilly. We have other means. So take this as examples of where the line is and when it's crossed, but don't start posting "why was XYZ banned" should it happen in the future (hopefully not).

    Other than that, ditto Xiph0.

I think she's actually scumhunting with a reasonably clear thought process (like about ika and about Delphine being all stuffy and over serious), and also her reaction to being wagoned just feels like a townie who thinks people are scumreading her for silly reasons.

People say she's playing like Batmafia. I have to disagree.

    What's your read on Ter?

Delphine is the only ban I'm personally bothered by, but then, I doubt she cares whether she can post here or not.

(I'm sad to see Lyrium go too, but she was probably asking for it.)

Back and catching up, was about to attempt a phone post when I saw the extension. For the record, I would never wish that anyone would have to attempt to post from my ancient phone.

I'll echo Citrus' sentiments, Q you've done a great job keeping this together with the chaos

I'm going to vote Lucky unless he does something impressive in the next, like, thirty minutes.

And yes, thanks for modding Q, this can't be a fun situation to find yourself in as moderator but you're doing great.

You've mentioned that TerRaine vote a couple of times Fontisian, and having taken a look back at that, it needs to be noted that Ika had called TerRaine out over her post in #883 prior to Snowvon's vote. At this point I get the impression that might have been early busing in case people decided to really press that.

Snowvon isn't scum-hunting, all he's done is OMGUS anyone whose called him out, and most of his other posts are fluff/filler. I haven't had a chance to read MM3, but this seems prob obv scum at this point.

Hi Waco, don't think we've played together before.

Looking through your posts, you were very quick to call the argument between ika and fontisian town versus town. What was your reasoning?

Copying his reason for townreading you makes me think you're scum.

(And his reason was probably flawed since (1) you seem to be capable of guessing when townies will find a certain post suspicious, and (2) you wouldn't have needed to guess anyway since he called out Ter first.)

You know that isn't true, Rubicon. Thinking in sync is something Von and I do when we're both town, and it's become more and more of a thing irl as well. You don't actually believe that one of us would get a townread from it and the other one wouldn't. You also should know that Von started townreading me when I beat him to the punch in voting fluff. So, what are you trying to do here? If it's scumreading me for a bit so I'll survive the night, I appreciate the effort, but I think we both know it's likely futile.

TerRaine is a null read, because she's had one horrible post and a lot of towntell outside of it. If you want more details than that, you'll have to wait until the morning.

Rubicon, nice to get to play with you, this is my first DLP game, though I have lurked on the board on and off in the past.

When I looked at it, and given the style of the players involved, I didn't see the scum slip that people were referring to. I've seen in games, both older one here I've read, and in some of my own, where two townies lock horns early distract everyone for looking for scum. It's something that I've looked back on a couple of times already (poss Fontisian scum laying a trap for some/anyone?), and then again when Ika didn't follow up his early posts with more content, but I still believe my town v town verdict to be correct

---------- Post automerged at 02:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 02:18 AM ----------

As for the posts of the last few hours, if anything it's gotten more muddled than before. I had Lucky as a lean town, with Mala as a slight scum lean/null, but I don't particularly like Lucky's relative silence in the recent hours, and Mala gave me reason to consider her town.

The other thing that pinged my scum-dar during the sequence, was House. It's a gut feeling, but something felt off about him during his back and forth.

In fairness you defended scum against another scum and got the other scum lynched.

    snort.

We can talk more if we're both around tomorrow I guess. I'm going to be sleeping through deadline most likely.

    Do you like your role?

This is... reasonable. I can see your thought process, though I think ika could in principle still be scum even if he didn't slip the way fontisian said he did. (He isn't scum, but from your pov.)

I'm putting you down as a town read

It's my third favorite role to have.

Could you go into more detail on the Waco read? I don't like the way he's implicitly defending fluffy by going after Von. Do you disagree?

I hadn't read those posts yet.

His reason for townreading fluffy is weak. (As is his reason for townreading my slot, like I noted.) I'm not sure he, as first-time scum, would feel motivated to chainsaw defend a partner. Is that what you're suggesting, or do you simply think it's suspicious that he's defending HF?

On a related point -- Snowvon, are you repeating the mistake we both made in BatMafia or is HF doing something new and different here?

@Q, is it 7 to lynch?
