The game has enough people signed up to start when it's ready. Let's not make waves over inconsequential details when ika has been up front about the fact it's not normal.

 

The existence of a co-mod/backup mod, at the very least, is consequential. I also don't really get the resistance to a review (it's not like you have to do exactly everything they say/they might give you a good idea or help you realize something that needs clarification), but.

 

People are signing up for this game because it is the only one available, not because they have any faith in ika as a mod (when he says "for fun" he means "for my fun"). I, specifically, am only in it because ika will not be playing. That alone is proof that seeing if people don't sign up does not work, especially when ika is willing to bring people from other sites over to fill up slots.

 

If people didn't enjoy ika's modding, they wouldn't come from other sites.

Especially to one set up such as this.

If you have some problem with him, feel free to /out because I don't want to put up with this kind of attitude in the game and you'd obviously not enjoy yourself in it.

my entire problem with having one is that when i make setups i have very spcific ways of dealing with things and that if one says X and one says Y it causes more upset then needed.

theres plenty of other site to play on font. i like how you think you know what everyone is thinking but some of the people who already signup say otherwise.

i dont just make setups for my own amusement, if i wanted to do such thing i would do "everyones VT have a giant piss fight for my amusement"

its not easy to make an entire setup from scratch and that fact you think it is show me that you are jst trying to make a giant talk about nothing.

 

i would have loved to co-mod or play in this game but because of X, Y, and Z can't. honestly, fonti I admire you lots but im really sick and tired of people who keep hating on someone because they don't like them.

wait you really don't like someone, what do you do in real life? its easy: disengage, ignore, and even online there is actually a dlp function where you can ignore a persons post. just do it and let a game be a game.

 

People who are not DLPers. If ika needs to go to other sites to get people to play a game, that's a sign that his game is not being fully enjoyed by DLPers. Since this is DLP, and we only have one game at a time, that's a problem.

And yeah, I have many, many problems with ika, starting and ending with the fact that he does not try. By rights, he should be banned from this site for his persistent refusal to use proper punctuation and grammar. I'll enjoy the game despite him, because the majority of players on DLP more than make up for him.

I don't think this is a productive discussion to be had. Given that ika's agreed to get a co-mod/some review help, and that seems to be what fonitisian/Lexicat wanted, I don't think this is a discussion that needs to go on any longer.

Honestly, I don't care if it's balanced - Font's right, if there was a balanced game out there, I'd more than likely sign up for that one instead.
There isn't. Ika has been upfront about it being unbalanced. The rest is details.

However, after the mess last time someone hosted a single-mod game (Lexi, I think?) we did agree on co-mods. I don't care about balance, but yes. Get a co-mod.

 

Oh I agree, a co mod is great, even just for more vote counts/times.

But forcing games to be reviewed seems a tad much. If you don't like the set up, or the mod, don't sign up. There should be a time limit for how long sign ups go on, and if doesn't get enough players in time the next game in que should start sign ups.

This is for fun, that much mod oversight seems ehhhh.

 

A review is the bare minimum. Having one person look over a setup and offer advice that doesn't even have to be followed shouldn't be a big deal.

Also, stating here that starting D1 I will be voting fonti for the duration of her time in the game regardless of my alignment so find other reasons to scum read me because I'm telling you right now it's non-alignment indicative.

I'm not sure I entirely like the precedent, and we would have to discuss what percentage of the playerbase is needed, but it might be worth considering?
