Have you guys heard of Improv Everywhere? They're basically an organisation that pulls off large-scale public pranks. Quite a few funny videos on their site:

    www.improveverywhere.com

    Some selected stunts:

    Best Game Ever
    http://improveverywhere.com/2008/04/07/best-game-ever/
They turn a little league baseball game into a massive event by bringing along a fake crowd, a jumbotron, and a Goodyear blimp. The kid's reaction is great.

    Food Court Musical
    http://improveverywhere.com/2008/03/09/food-court-musical/
They turn a food court into a musical, just like in musicals people randomly burst into song and dance.

    No Pants 2k8
    http://improveverywhere.com/2008/01/16/no-pants-2k8/
Annual event in which people take off their pants (trousers) on the subway. 2008 is the best year, with 2000 participants.

Even Better than the Real Thing
    http://improveverywhere.com/2005/05/21/even-better-than-the-real-thing/
They fake a U2 rooftop concert.

    Look Up More
    http://improveverywhere.com/2005/03/19/look-up-more/
Filling up every window of a department store with a dancing person.

    Best Gig Ever
    http://improveverywhere.com/2004/10/24/best-gig-ever/
They crash an unknown band's small gig and act as if they're the biggest rock band on Earth.

    And finally, my personal favourite:

    The Moebius
    http://improveverywhere.com/2003/03/22/the-moebius/
They execute a time loop in a Starbucks for an hour, repeating the same 5 minute sequence of actions over and over again.

    Have fun.

Also, a video site I found yesterday that's great:

    http://www.todaysbigthing.com/2008/05/09

They have a video for every day of the year for the last ages, most of them are hilarious. The above one I linked is just one random one I liked.

I think some of the NY DLP members should sign up for their mailing list and take part in the next event. I definitely would if I lived in NY.
