Summary: Spencer Ericson is revived by the black lantern ring just after the events of Blackest Night, given the title of torc bearer as he is the last Black Lantern he sets off to change the way Black Lanterns are percieved, and gain a new power source that doesn't rely on human hearts.

When the story starts off the main character is actually pretty enjoyable to read and is pretty far from a mary sue considering just how many times he "dies", and then his first attempt to be a hero meets with an almost really fucks him up the ass and just how much he has to struggle really makes his victories very satisfying

 

So ... why should we read this? What's good about it? What isn't?

 

It's good until the latest arc which was just disappointing.

 

I only managed to get through most of the first act, but it looked like a standard Spacebattles SI story, nothing above average or worth recommending. Maybe it gets better later on, but all the warning signs I saw suggest it doesn't.
