Yeah, I would also love if Ruskbyte updated any of his stuff. I would put Circular Reasoning on here as well, but it's getting updated so no complaints there .

I'd also like to see an update to Wraithspeaker or the sequel to belleradh's Grimm, but I'm not sure it's been long enough for those to qualify in this thread...

Omagic's Dark Respite. Grinning Lizard's Unforgiven. I'd like to see where they'd go. RustyRed's Ectomancer needs updates. Ruskbyte's Backwards Compatible was interesting and I'd like to at least see resolution to that. Also with razzle-dazzle-me's Right or Easy. I'd like to see the conclusion to Jbern's Turn Me Loose, but he's probably focused on his career right now. MystShadow's Forging the Sword would be nice to see more updates, although I'm not sure what direction she plans to take the story. There's a ton of stories I'm forgetting right now. I used to have a folder of HP fanfic bookmarks, but my hard drive crashed a few months ago.

 

There's only one incomplete fic I constantly check for updates. This single story I speak of is, of course, Terminal Justice. I'm a sucker for comedies with a sufficiently twisted sense of humor. Still, the author claimed not even six months ago he intended on finishing it, so I'm going back to my dreamworld where TJ isn't abandoned, if nobody minds.

The STranger Trilogy was a decent waste of time imo. Not that great.

Also, seconded for whomever nominated VULTUS SERPENTIS. WTB Update for it. Vincet was one of my fav fics ever.

 

I found the writing too shoddy for it to be enjoyable.

 

Last time I talked with NTR, they said an update was on the horizon.

As for incomplete fics, there are many I would like to see updated, but gems that were absolutely awesome are less.

Fayr Warning's Child of Mercy. This is one awesome piece of fanfiction. The story-telling is just beyond anything I've read. While I have read plenty of stories in the same vein as this one, the writing style though was just too good. Fayr and Joe are two author's who I really admire for their style of writing. I still read this story hoping that there would be an update.

IP82's Potter's Resistance I: Breaking Ties and Yin and Yang. I must have read both the stories over a dozen times and I still keep hoping that he would suddenly announce his comeback and finish this two. Both the stories had some very unique and intriguing ideas that I have never seen in fanfiction. And of course, the writing is top notch.

TheJackOfDiamonds' Harry Potter and the Hero's Path. The general consensus here at DLP is that he is dead. But still this story was one of the best canon rehash that I have seen with intriguing touches of originality.

kmfrank's Escape to Darkness. Kevin is alive and I've seen him here on DLP. I really wish he would update this.

Dalyon's Of Blood and Power and Acerbus Angelus. Both were pretty damn good and had some interesting action sequences.

Taliath's In Light of Silver Memories. Interesting concept of Harry gaining knowledge from Dumbledore. I've seen the same done with Voldemort ad nauseum times, but never with Dumbledore.

Amerision's Temptation's of a Dark Soul. This was one of the better Dark stories that I've seen in the fandom. Damn it Amer, update this.

A nice, 8,000+ word chapter from any of these would brighten my spirits for a day.

 

I can usually spot a story that won't be finished. It's actually quite rare to see a story come to completion.
Typically it seems to be stories, where the general idea that formed the story was based on plot rather than a twist. For example I reckon
Prince of a Dark Kingdom and Wastelands of Time will see completion.
Unfortunately (and I really, really hope I'm wrong) I'm not so sure about The Boy Who Lived or Incorruptible.

On a side note sometimes I end up preferring the author had just left a fic alone after a long, long, break. I hate that disappointment when you read a new chapter you have waited over a year for, only to find it is just not the same. The last chapter of stranger in a promised land was actually quite like that for me.

p.s. That was actually one of those stories I had pegged for completion (I spotted Power of Time a mile off though)

Breaking the Boundries is probaly my favorite naruto fic in exsistance.

 

Does anybody know what happened to Master Slytherin? I would like to see the sequel to his story Ruin. I believe Taure mentioned in the story's thread that he would post the whole story once he was finished, but I haven't seen any trace of him.
