Absolutely brilliant. It's an AU based upon an altered sorting, it's a character sketch, it's Voldemort/Riddle-centric, it's exactly as long as it needs to be. It hits all the things I like best.

That was an interesting read. I haven't read such a good character analysis in a while. The portrayal of Hufflepuff was quite different from what I'm normally used to seeing and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I liked the present tense use, it added a sense of dread and mystique to the overall piece that is rarely seen otherwise. It made me, as a reader feel that I was going through the moments with Riddle rather than an outside viewer dispassionately watching the unfolding of events.
4.5/5 s'far as I'm concerned.

 

Hmm, It was a great idea, but with poor execution and writing in my opinion.

I read the whole thing, but found myself bored/frustrated some of the way through.

Overall, the writing was quite disjointed. 3/5 from me.
