    Scrabble - oh God, Scrabble. You can play with iPhones/iPods as tile racks for crying out loud.

    Otherwise, Minecraft is pretty good on iPad (particularly with the new update), Monopoly is a good one- or multiplayer game, and if you want a bit of old-fashioned runny/jumpy gaming, Fancy Pants Adventures can burn time like paper.
