Different continuities. Think of them as separate universes. Ultimate Tony is a loveable smug asshole, whereas 616 is just a douchebag lately.

Its not so much his villians but his own demons that are Stark's biggest problems.

Ultimates take place in a seperate Universe than 616. Ultimate Power is a pretty good example on the whole muliple Universes.

Also 616 is just a random number as an earlier posted article said. Most people use the numbers to deal with the What if... comics and others that use multiple universes in a single comic. Like the Exiles with thousands of Wolverines.

That being said I hope Ult. Tony Stark has an anuerysm from the tumor (before/if) he goes all Civil War assjockey.

Edit: Haha just looking through some of Iron Man's enemies and thought this was worth noting.

Also Ryan Reynolds is a fucking badass actor and perfect for Deadpool. Amytiville Horror was when I started taking him seriously as an actor. BTW There are two Ryan Reynolds.

Isnt Reynolds supposed to be the Flash in either Justice League or a flash standalone? Thats the way to do it. Milk the 2 biggest comic book groups for all their worth.

Eh, I don't really care if he does that. He's a good actor and he could pull off both chracters. Hopefully he'd change it up and go with the types of humor Deadpool and Wally West employ respectively. Self-deprecating/juvenile penis jokes for Deadpool, and funny guy antics of Wally West.

But if it came down to him choosing either the Deadpool character or Wally West then I'd hope he'd pick Deadpool. I don't really care about the Flash, unless they decide to ressurrect Bart Allen.

Oh dear God NO, and not just because amount of slash fanfiction written by Pitt fangirls would be staggering.

Personally I had hoped it would be Kevin McKidd (he was rumored to be Thor) who played Lucius Vorenus in Rome, in which he was awesome. I guess I'm going to be disappointed.

It's probably because of that other movie he had a long beard for:

    Still uber-gheeeeey, though.

It's not like he'd do it. They haven't even asked him yet. Someone just said they'd like to cast Brad Pitt, which doesn't mean dick because just about every movie would like to cast Brad Pitt. Odds are it will still be McKidd.

EDIT: Ahaha, apparently the guy who wanted McKidd is no longer with the project. Carry on.

Ant-man and Deathlok are insta-fail movies. Nethier of them are that good a character, that recognised or even good enough to play on. I say fuck off to them.

Black Panther might work, and while I love Topher Grace (That 70s Show ftw) he's just not Venom. I always thought they made Venom with too much of a Carnage idea in mind. Too insane and skinny for how I imagined him.

Downey Jr is easily the best casting for any superhero so far (Though Liam Neeson or whatever was incredible as Ra's al Ghul) and it's a tie between Iron Man and Batman Begins as my favourite comic movie. Homer's review says it for me.

As to future movies, Reynolds as Deadpool would be freaking awesome. Absolutely gnarly. I'm really looking forward to seeing the Wolverine movie to see how they do Weapon X and some of the fucking kickass characters who'll no doubt show up.

While I hated the last Hulk movie, this next one looks good and with Stark in it, it can only be awesome. I'm glad they've dropped S.H.I.E.L.D into the Marvel movie universe at last, without a doubt there'll be a massive influx of Marvel movies and DC will be hard pressed to keep up.

One of the comic movie adaptions I'm really holding back an orgasm for is Watchmen. I've seen 3 shots of Rorschach (Though I'm not sure if it's legit or not) and it looks absolutely fucking epic.

Is it just me, or did it seem to anyone that they replaced the kind of Russian bad guy theme with the Iraqi's for a more modern theme?

EDIT: Who predicts new characters for what movies? I'm ecstatic over Gambit's apparent inclusion in the Wolverine movie and the guy they picked him seems to fit the role though I'm pretty sure he's a newbie actor. I think Namor will show up soon enough, Hawkeye I think will probably feature in the Cptain America movie. I really want another Daredevil movie, a better one, preferably one that follows the Marvel Knights storyline because that is easily his greatest series.

I too want another Daredevil, but that'd be suicide; I bet Affleck has some gay contractual agreement locking him into any sequels (unlike Hulk, which will most likely NOT suck since everyone is new). I'm highly anticipating Captain America - if done right, I think his role could surprise a helluva lot of people the way Nightcrawler did in X-2. No clue as to who's playing him, though.

EDIT: Best cast superhero is Famke Jennsen as Jean Gray. Point blank period.

Matthew McConaughey is the rumored guy to play Captain America, so you can lower your expectations.

She was very solid in three X-Men movies, but she is not the best one. In fact, I would put Hugh Jackman ahead of her.

There have been rumors of Triple H (wrestler) taking the role of Thor. He also had a part in Blade 3. I don't know how much there is to that rumor, but there you have it. That's Triple H,

I think he has the physique down, but I would take McKidd over him or Pitt in a heartbeat.

    Werd, that was awesome.

As for Thor, grab that guy who played Eomer in LOTR, and bulk him way up.

I lol'd. He was the guy in Doom wasn't he?

I don't think he'd really fit the role of Thor. I could imagine him as Hawkeye possibly though, He seems to fit that, IMO at least.

Triple H has the looks but I doubt he can act. Pitt wwouldn't be...too bad. I'd probably prefer it if they could get someone new, they've done well with getting unknown actors lately. I want to see Johnny Depp take on a Marvel Role. But speaking of well-cast characters, Reed Richards and Doom were both cast really well IMO.

While that has the potential to reek of gayfail, that doesn't really worry me. If someone out there was able to make Cate Blanchett into a convincing Bob Dylan, then someone can mold McConaughey into Cap'n. Tobey McGuire didn't jump at me as Peter Parker, nor did Robert Downey as Iron man, when I first heard about them accepting the roles; what made those movies work were the script and the CGI.

The problem with Cap is he's always been depicted as a very clean-cut, square-jawed, old-fashioned(duh) kind of guy. McConaughey does not really seem to fit that.

This is true. Plus, the whole Texan accent thing. The closest actor, appearance-wise, is (sadly) Paul Walker, but he's a shit actor and too young. Personally, I hope they go with a no-name.

Aintitcool has an article a while back that showed costumed versions of all of the main characters from Watchmen.

Besides Ozymandias, I thought they all were pretty well done.

Oh yeah, and Iron Man was great.
