I'm gonna call the response to my post underwhelming so far, but the game wouldn't be very fun if we were all on the same page anyway. However, it's hard to engage with you guys if you won't point out anything specific for me to argue in favor of.

    Acceptable.

This was just me giving 2 cents on the topic of endangered species.

Sheeping you today is not the worst considering he came around on you around EoD d1.
It is a valid option for him as either alignment.

Keeping your eyes open is always right regardless, so I won't argue against that.

It reminds me of this Tom-Vaimes interaction from Mountainous Mafia:

Which isn't as aggressive, but follows the same pattern of distancing by over-reacting to a scum partner.

Why does he want the credit for starting a mislynch wagon, though?

He wants to show involvement and solviness. He's not actively building the case because you would flip town, and he'd look bad, so he's just kinda there keeping the case in the public eye, hoping someone will make the mislynch happen.

Not set in my ways just yet.

I decided to wait for more content of the "new" players in the game before I decide which way to go.

I need to make a post in regard to fonti to discuss some things, but I want her to get somewhat settled in and play the game before I do that.

My case on her d1 was in part strong because I knew she was hyped about breaking the setup 1 week before the game started.
Her d1 play does not reflect that, BUT I did not actually know how sick she was during d1 until ~EoD1.

That explains some of it, but I still want to chew over some things with her (if not to read her then at least because I will have to make more decisions tonight).
No need to talk mechanics straight away. Can wait for some more actions.

You know - the german way. Make people work for their crutch and don't hand it to them like a weakling.

    Everyone else ..

Typhon And Jari are lock town for me.

Waco looks somewhat bad for not even bidding the 200 for the neighbor after his Mr Rogers hype early on.
But he claimed sickness, so he will get a little bit of time to do things.

I think Cobalt was somewhat genuine with his neighbor claim. He is the worst. The worst. But he still gets some townpoints for it.
Not enough to clear .. far from it.
    We'll see what happens.

There is something else. I think the scumteam fucked up with a minor thing yesterday, but it is not clearing.

    Tom got the doc, sure.
But he did not use the rest of the money to bid on gravedigger or neighbor?
Scum could not know how high the bid was at the time, so they could not know if one of them had it.
Odd choice, esp gravedigger, because that was at 0 half way through d1.

(he had 299 dollar left and I don't think he would have used that on the doc at any point).

Oh yeah and You are somewhat weird right noe Rubicon. Not sure if town or scum weird.
Open mind is a good thing, but this is the 2nd time that you asked me things that were more about finding out where I was going (right now) and finding out my alignment (the tom interaction thing).
Considering that not a single person left in this game has a scumread the 2nd part is odd (maybe careful scum, maybe opportunistic scum)
The part where you want me scumreads today is just ... . I said that I townread you d1 for some mindmeld things and a part of me thinks you might try to get into my head to make a compelling case on someone I have on my mind, just to get on my good side.

    Is that paranoid? Yes.
Doesn't mean it's not true. Unsure.

This is actually something I considered as well.

If tom didn't actually fail last night and he's the one who got Neighbourizer, scum!Cobalt could claim he got it. Claiming to have used it on Newcomb when he's dead is a way to fast clear himself innit?

    hard sell.

you are saying tom had the 200 bit half way through d1?

and then did not increase his bid just a tiny amount at EoD? (not all out because that would be obvious)

Cobalt would not claim that unless he or a mafia partner had it. This much is true.

Super stressed because my life for the next four years is being decided in two hours, but re earlier:

Jan scum!fontisian is, to this point, the only scum player that can actively attempt to pocket newcomb and have it work (see ayaw). In the context of this game, with a strong partner like tom going down early, she would need to make a gutsy but subtle play to allow her to survive, and I think killing Newcomb ere could very well be that play.

I mean, I doubt she's scum, and I'm very much into getting Cobalt today ATM, but just food for thought.

Also, I'd like to think cobalt/rubi arent w/w, but what do I know

Cause I had missed Jan's post where he admitted his votes were out of date, and I saw something super scummy from him (keeping his vote on fonti after saying that she would do pro scum stuff if elected). Of course that was all based on me not being attentive.

    What are your reads today?

And... why are you playing the way you are?
This isn't snark, I'm genuinely confused. Like the way you ignored my question about fonti yesterday.

I've just not had the motivation to catch up thoroughly after i lost power and saw 20 pages pop up when I came back.

I think Jarizok and Jan are town.

    I like Typhon.

I think miner is town (unless fonti is scum, in which case I like the odds of him being the final scum).

I need to see more from font and cobalt.

Waco has not impressed, but I was wrong about him last game, so I'm gonna actually reread him to see if I'm falling into the same trap as then.

Vira has left no impression in my mind, which is kind of worrying?

    I think you're probably town.

Eyyy, just noticed this and my reads are super similar! There's a first time for everything.

    ---------- Post automerged at 23:23 ---------- Previous post was at 23:12 ----------

I think it's not at all unlikely that tom would throw down an early bid on neighbourizer as scum for the ability to pocket someone, or even just to make sure town have to pay more than 200 for it.

    ---------- Post automerged at 23:25 ---------- Previous post was at 23:23 ----------

I approve your reads. Come over and vote Waco with me!

    ---------- Post automerged at 23:26 ---------- Previous post was at 23:25 ----------

Thread would have been more alive if tom and Newcomb hadn't died :(
