Ok, so this has been annoying me. In my iTunes every now and then a song will cut out halfway through and o straight on to the next song. I've noticed this happening a lot with Murton's Mega Mixes. Anyone know what the problem is?

Otherwise, just give me the name of a good, free music player alternative.

Never used iTunes, but make sure that your player isn't set to playing a certain amount of a song and then go to next track.

I drove 3 hours straight listen to 1 minute spots once because of that. Freaking bitch that is.

foobar2000 is the player that I am trying out atm.

I use realplayer. Best part is you can rip pretty much any video off the net with it. When it's installed you place your video over the video (youtube etc.) and there is a download button and you just hit it. No formatting etc needed. I like it a lot.

I concur. I use Linux, and even I use Foobar. WINE for the win.

iTunes is a bad port from Mac, and thus has a whole slew of problems -
none of which I feel like going indepth about. I really only use it for putting
    songs onto my iPod.

Winamp has a compact user interface, which I like. That's where my
appreciation stops - the skins are pretty much all rubbish, and the Media
Library function is useless. It's pathetic as a video player too.

RealPlayer is too heavy on system resources for my tastes, but I haven't
used it since I upgraded to 4GB of RAM and a dual-core processor.

and foobar? I have no idea. I just downloaded it, took it for a test spin.
From what I can tell from maybe a minute and a half, it's very customisable.

Your best bet is to try all of them, and see which one you like best.

Oh, wait. Holy shit. It was Jenkins the whole time. I shouldn't have tried to be so helpful. Fuuuuuuuck.
