DLP is a big site so I'm sure that at least some people here have played Jet Set Radio and/or its sequel Jet Set Radio Future. Those that did also probably know about the HD Release of the original coming out Summer 2012. When they came out, the games were something of a cult favorite. They didn't gain a lot of popularity despite their awesome soundtrack and revolutionary (at the time) cel-shading graphics - probably because the original came out for the Dreamcast in 2000 when most people were playing on different systems.

In the past, both games had simple, arcade-esque controls that made playing it easy to get into. The biggest problem was the camera-angle that had a tendency to switch or hide behind walls at the worst times. Hopefully that will be fixed in the re-release.

I sincerely hope that people who haven't played it give the game a shot, mostly because if it does well they might remake JSRF as well, but also because I think you'll genuinely enjoy it. For people who knew about the series already, are you looking forward to the HD release? Hate it? Apathetic?

I adored Jet Set Radio so I'm a little bit hesitant about the remake. It has almost no chance of ever living up to my rose-tinted memories, though the camera fix alone makes me incredibly happy (you can use the right analogue stick to control it now).

I desperately hope they keep the whole soundtrack intact. And the JP/EU soundtrack too, not the US shit.

I remember renting this back in the day. My brothers and I played it for like two days before we lost interest and went back to playing Smash Bros on the 64.

Can't say it was a really memorable game, because I don't remember anything about it apart from the graffiti tagging.

Still have the soundtracks in my playlists, never stopped loving this game series.
Hope it can live up to my expectations.

Got JSRF with my Xbox original when I first bought it. Damn that was an awesome game. Don't think I ever finished it though :(.
