I can feel an anti-bandwagon bandwagon forming. This shit is getting recursive.

On topic, the first link echoes my thoughts fairly well. The more details are left unexplored, the more the reader can fill it in themselves, which makes the story feel more natural. If JK defines every part of her character's lives, from Albus Severus' favourite shampoo to the texture of Moody's gravestone, then this is killed off. You know that jarring sensation you get when you watch a movie or TV show of a book you've read, and the characters look nothing like you imagined them? That's what happens every time JK feels the need to nail down one more insignificant detail and it's different to what the reader's imagination supplied.

A letter in response to the second article:

This sums up my main views on this topic. I totally agree with the last paragraph, especially the sentences in bold. If it's not explicitly stated in the books, JKR can give her interpretations all she wants, but they are not MY interpretations. In my mind, Dumbledore is not gay, and this view I consider to be canon (since like I said it was never stated or hinted clearly that he was gay).

She should be concentration on all the terrible plot holes, no insignificant pieces of information which ruin the "I wonder what happened to them" thought people may have.

Signz me up. I'm all for telling Rowlings to just STFU and GTFO.

She had a great run with the first 4 books, and then fucked her muse over by turning the whole thing into a morality play rather than just continuing to make the story more and more gritty and dark as she was trending toward.

No, instead of showing Harry growing up and becoming his own man and showing some independance, he became a puppet without ambition or talent.

Personally I hope more articles like this come out and send her a damn clear message.

    JKR... STFU.

...wait, she said Dumbledore was meant to be gay??

Anyway, Harry being an auror in his adult years is hardly an imagination shattering revelation. Look at what we as fanfic readers and writers do, we take parts of canon we like, change what we don't like and move on from there.

I think her giving small details like that makes the canon-slave fans cum in their pants for one new bit of information, so yay for them. For someone like me, it's so much static.

The 'auror' thing would be a point of interest for me if she decided to write Harry's adventures as an auror. Otherwise he could be the bar wench. I could care less.

BUT! is Dumbledore seriously supposed to be gay?

Apparently so. She was supposed to have hinted that Dumbledore's relationship with Grindelwald was more than friendly.

I say bullshit though. If any of JKR's asslickers would bother reading through those passages carefully, they would realize that a close friendship between two like-minded, brilliant fellows bonded by a common ambition is implied far more strongly. After all, I dare to wager they never really suspected Dumbledore was gay after reading the books.

I have to agree with Lucullus, I never imagined Dumbledore gay. It wasn't in his character, at least thats not what it seemed.

On another note, her saying he was gay...all the "fangirls" might just start writing early years of the headmaster and all his buttsecks adventures with his fuck buddy now...

Edit: On the topic. I 100% agree with that journalist. I share his/her opinion completely. Books are so much better than the movies. They always take out scenes from the books in the movies they deem unimportant. Well, fuck you, Director, who made you god to decide that? You didn't author the book, maybe, just maybe, the author wanted those scenes, but no.

In any event, reading is so much better than movies, although, I will agree with people who love movies, movies do give certain things over books, but I digress, I for one, enjoy reading more, especially when its a very good book, and keeps me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

I dunno it clearly explains why Dumbledore 'trusts' Snape so much and had kept his dear pet death eater out of jail, when he did nothing for Black. Of course given that Dumbledore is gay, maybe Voldemort is also, could give another meaning to Snape saying he has two masters, really did not know they were into s&m.

STFU Noob, were not here to bash Dumbledore moron. If you did not understand, people here are angry because she ruined his character.

On the other hand, I completely agree with said article, this bitch really needs to understand to shut up.

You know, if she really has all this shit she wants to tell us about the characters maybe she shouldn't of said Deathly Hollows was the last book and written book 8.

That said, I am now very happy that the series is done and the only thing she can do to ruin it is run her bleached brained mouth.

Can you imagine the horror that would have been book 8?:wall:

Most likely would have been the worste book yet, I'd say. I absolutely loved the first 4 books. Book 5 was okay, but it was the turning point, in all honesty.

I could imagine the horror that is going to come in the form of Dumbledore Slash.....

I'm with both authors on this. There are something that are best left to the imagination. All these little titbits is going to do is finish the work done by books 5-7... ruin the series.

Where can I catch the bandwagon?
