I'm probably going to find out that this is a simple fix, but I'll freely admit to being more or less compter illiterate. Basically, pressing certain keys on my laptop keyboard produces something completely different. I'm writing his with liberal use of copy/paste.

    For example:

pressing 't' seems to do the same as F6 - in Firefox, selecting the current tab. I can type t by using ctrl + p, but that doesn't always work. Similarly, nothing happens at all when I press p, as far as I can see.

the Num Lock button does this: ] (corresponding to the ] button, which has started toggling num lock)

u seems to have linked to F7, trying to turn on Caret Browsing (whatever that is...)

p sometimes does nothing, sometimes brings down the 'file, edit, view etc' toolbar at the top of the window.

3 opens up find and replace in Word.
When num lock is on, this happens when I ress 3 on the number pad: /3
I haven’t so far found anything else, although it is always possible. It also seems to be a little sporadic…
    Help?

EDIT: I have no idea what I did, but it appears to have stopped. I really fucking hate technology, even if DLP does appear to once again have fixed my computer simply by having a thread created. Jesus.
