I consider the stories in this series as some of the best ever written fanfics that I have read. Although the pairing (Harry/Hermione) may sound sappy, I can assure you that Nedved doesn't deal with the fluff of it. Legacies: The Solidus Charm and Legacies: The Grim, the first and fourth in the series respectively, are Completed while Legacies: The Halo of Life and Legacies: The Sword of Gryffindor are Works in Progress (they are actually complete but were deleted from the site so Nedved had to rewrite and repost them). You could still read Legacies: The Grim without reading the previous installments but there are some holes that need filling if you haven't read them. He is currently working on his fifth and final installment Legacies: Brothers in Blood (Chapter 1 is complete and just needs to be approved).

I understand that you are eager to promote the work (presumably yours) but its just not concise or clear

 

I've read the first couple of these. Kinda surprised they haven't been added before. Some pretty good action and battle sequences I remember mainly. Nifty super!powering and not a horrific amount of romance.

Too much supering of the blonde ponce drove me away. Or rather got irritating enough that I didn't want to read the rest. Hero!Draco is even as bad as Hero!Snape which pretty much rank about as interesting for me to read as slash. In that, to maintain my interest you pretty much have to have something beyond fantastic.

Still an impressive series, I suspect several here would really like it.

 

Really? I read the first 15 chapters of the first installment and got bored... Harry is a whimp... ok, he has the solidus thing, but come on.. Once he finds out Hermione has been supporting his occlumency and DD has been hiding such a thing from him, he should have gone mental..i would have...

I only got that far and needed a cigarette and then couldnt be arsed to continue... But i will... since you believe it might go down well...

 

If you got bored with Solidus then I suggest you go right ahead and read Grim cause its a bit fast paced.

No,I am still firmly in the belief that J.k Rowling did NOT right ;but I do believe she hired a ghostwriter(rabid teenage fangirl) and thus you have that green book sitting on your shelf gathering dust.

Don't ignore the story just because of a pairing. Also, who care's if it's canon the reason we have fanfiction is so it's NOT an exact copy of the book and we can have different pairings.

In the beginning, when i first read it, I thought it terrible, the only decent part of it being the horcruxes. Now though, I'm not so sure...

I know i'll get blasted with hate on this site for saying this but...

1. We all know harry is pretty powerful

2. After being nurtured :lol: for by the Dursley's, Harry's emotions are exactly norm. (plus JKR is a woman meaning she's writing from a woman's view on how one would react to that news)

3. He may have a chance...

oh I really liked these fics but lost them when my old comp decided it wanted to die... been looking for it for ages.

 

I liked it. That's my most basic review.
I may not like Draco, but I would rather have him superpowered than boning Harry. Seriously, just by not having slash this fic beats out hundreds of other fics I've seen that are similar to it.
I liked the superpower idea NedVed had with the Solidus Charm thing. It takes a while to get moving, but eventually the power kicks in and Harry swings his sword around in some nice action.
I can't say I care that it's H/Hr, as I'm a fan of any pairing that doesn't involve slash.

Yea, I probably would have too, but I dunno, I've read so many fics where Harry flips out that I liked that Harry didn't in this one. It was a little different. Just a little, not unique, just a little different.
I'd recomend people to give it a try at least. If they like it, they've got a nice long read, if they don't, well, you really didn't need those 15 minutes did you?

 

Legacies: Brothers in Blood Chapter 1 is finally in and is already gobsmacked with action... you don't wanna miss it if you want some piece of good writing...

 

Legacies: Halo of Life has been recently updated. It's already at Chapter 15.

Anyway, to Anarual: You obviously haven't read it cause you mentioned Hero Draco and weapon-wielding Hermione. If you read it, you'd find out eventually that Draco's no good guy and Hermione holds no weapon except her own wand. So just piss off.

 

While I was still relatively new to the fandom I tried reading this series, and I didn't really like it that much. Nothing personal or anything, it just didn't appeal to me.
