Letterkenny is a Canadian sitcom (aired on Crave) about the people living in Letterkenny, Ontario. Letterkenny is a small town, population 5000, full of hicks, skids, hockey players, and Christians, and it's based off of Jared Keeso's (lead writer, main actor) experiences growing up in a similar sized town.

Keeso wrote a few short pieces and put them on Youtube as "Letterkenny Problems", before it was picked up. Season one aired February 2016, and two aired at Christmas/New years. They are short seasons, only six episodes each, but season three has been confirmed and bought by Crave, and a St Patrick's day episode is also confirmed.

However, as the show is a CraveTV original, it's only officially available to Canadians. A quick search online can find it without too much difficulty though.

Most of the story focuses on Wayne (Keeso) and Katy, his sister. They run a produce stall from their farm, with the help of Daryl and Squirrely Dan. Wayne's recovering from a break in his long term relationship with Angie, Katy's dating a pair of hockey players, and nobody's sure who the local toughest is (since Wayne's depressed), but the best bet is Ginger (or maybe Boots), who (allegedly) fucked an ostrich. It might have been sick, and he might have had a mate help out (allegedly), and it might not have happened.

Letterkenny is packed of running jokes and catchphrases, which does help with the small town feel.

If the youtube episodes do it for you, I'd definitely give the show itself a try. But they're not quite as good, so if you're uncertain, give it a go too.

This is a Canadian Hardy Bucks, the culture is even similar to Castletown. Hardy Bucks put videos on youtube and got picked up by RTE.

I thought Letterkenny was fantastic. Laughed out loud a lot.
