So, Life is Strange is a telltale-esque game created by Square Enix, told in five episodes, with the first being released on January 29th, and the second being released sometime in March.

So, yeah, you can rewind time, in a rather benevolent and advantageous way, since you remain where you are, only the rest gets rewound. You also keep whatever is on your body. This makes it advantageous for dialogue and stuff, since you now know the right answers on what certain people might want to hear. Not that one couldn't do that with save scumming before, but now, it's an included feature.

Atmosphere is fantastic, soundtrack is pretty great and I am loving the tone. Episode one took me about 2 hours to finish because I am compulsively clicking and reading everything, so, might take you a bit less or a bit more but I guess two hours should be about right.

Character wise, I like Max so far, and the rest seems to be interesting as well, and I hope we will see more of them and how they develop according to your choices.

Only episode one out now, so, too soon to truly judge, but I am loving it so far. It had me more than Walking Dead and the Game of Thrones telltale game did, but not quite as much as The Wolf Among Us.

So, has anyone else played this?

 

I am very very tempted to pick this up. My friends rave about this and the full season isn't that expensive compared to some other games. Definitely a game I'm keeping my eye on.

As with most games, these days, I'm just waiting for the sale. Absolutely want to pick it up, but I've got so much backlog that there's no point in getting this at full price, really.

 

It looks really good on the Xbox One, and was under $10.

I enjoyed the first episode. Not sure I reeeaallly like Max though. Something about her character bugs me, not sure what.

 

Seems very hipster-y. I may give it a try though.

 

Played it. Liked it. It has that Twin Peaks feel; well, it's Twin Peaks - a popular girl is missing, we have a cast of strange and weird characters, multiple plots are abound. Yeah, that's Twin Peaks in game format.
