I would say, that lights main object is to preserve and heal. This means that most healing spells but also shield spells would fall into the light category. I guess that Binding spells would also be light "spells".
In order to be the really strong you have to master both light and dark. However since light spells would need positive emotions and dark spells would need negative emotions it would be very difficult (--> Occlumency).
So most of the time you would be either a killing machine which gets killed by some random curse, or you are nearly impossible to defeat but you can't off your enemies either.

Dark and Light magical rituals, in my mind, are rituals empowered by sacrifice. In Dark magic, it is often the sacrifice of others and some addiction. In Light magic, it would be a limiter on your action:
For exemple, let's say that AD did a ritual that greatly empower him, but on the other hand he *has* to give a second chance for redemption to other people. It could explain why AD did nothing against Snape or Draco.

I am still looking a fic where Harry does a light magic ritual that makes him unable to lie to anyone... Could be funny.

 

I think that light and dark magic differ in respect to the basic physics behind them. Light magic is about putting something in and getting more out. Unlimited supply and creating something from nothing. Dark magic on the other hand confirms to the laws of physics and conserveation of energy. To get something you have to get something or take something from someone else. So all forms of conjuring and most charms would be light trasnfiguration would be dark. That would conincede with the idea that every bit of dark magic comes with a price that would have to be paid at some point.

 

If i remember correctly, it doesn't matter in anyway what way you put the word order because every meaning of a word will have a meaning. Say for example 'I kill' is interficio in latin and the object form of 'you' is tibi. It won't matter if you say interficio tibi or tibi interficio, it will translate the exact same way.
