That said, I am going to have some questions as I go along, hopefully the Linux users here can help a brother out.

First question, of what will probably be many,
how do you get rid of "Jamven's Home" and "Computer" icon that default to the desktop?

found it under the "mintDesktop" under preferences...

What the hell is is "Nautilus Mode"? Some type of file/folder viewer is my best guess...
