Hello patrons of Little Italy,

Given the events that have occurred today, some changes are going to be in store for the forum. These changes are being discussed with forum mods, and will be implemented in the near future. Another update will couple these changes.

For the moment, however, this notice is to inform you all about the expectations of this subforum for the time being. The mods have informed me that deliberate shirking of these expectations may result in consequences.

1) Mafia is a game about arguing. People are not required to be nice or civil. That being said, repeated personal attacks or flaming outside of the game will be investigated on a severity and case by case basis.

2) Games are only to be posted in by people who have signed up for the game, the mod/comod of the game, or a forum mod who is forced to step in. Do not ruin games for other people. This includes other stupid things like posting while dead, or revealing your role, or whatever.

3) Things that happen in a game stay there. It's hard to separate feelings from a game, and that's understandable, but if you can't leave prior bad blood behind in a previous game, mafia is not the game for you. Again, do not ruin people's games.

4) No excessive tagging. Spoilering the game is out of the question anyway, but beyond that, it's an abuse and disturbance of the global tag system that is used elsewhere on the site for important purposes (Library). Don't think you are anonymous. Mods can see who tagged what perfectly fine, and will act accordingly.

5) This is not a self run community. You are all part of DLP. Therefore, all other forum rules must be obeyed. This includes, namely, the rules of intelligent behaviour and posting. I.e.:

The latter is not, however, a license for needless rudeness. Especially in game threads more strict behavioural rules may apply at the discretion of the game host.

These rules will be enforced. You are not immune from enforcement or rules because you are a mafia community.

That is all for the moment. Other things may be added as they come to mind or discussion. Changes to Little Italy itself will be in another post, as mentioned.

Amongst other things, I will keep an eye on it, and work closely with Lexi to ensure the rules are followed -- in order to provide a good, fun game experience.
