This has been on my HDD for a LONG time. Finally decided to post it. Feel free to rip it to shreds and/or take it up.

    Challenge #1:

Summery: In the year 2047, in a small room at the very back of a high security prison in an unplottable location in the Northern region of Siberia, on the bottom floor, beyond three silver doors, six well trained, powerful, and frequently rotated guards, lies the man-who-failed.

    Challenge:

Harry Potter has lost the final battle against the Dark Lord Voldemort. But, Voldemort did not kill him. Having found out the contents of the prophecy from Albus Dumbledore's pensive, acquired during the raid the night Dumbledore died, he realizes that as long as Harry Potter lives, he is immortal. Instead of killing him after the battle, Voldemort puts him in a deep, enchanted sleep, and locks him away. The Dark Lord who has now realized his immortality goes on to dominate first England, then the entire world in a few decades. Only a small, underground resistance remains out of his control within his lands; the entire muggle world lies in ruins, muggles and muggle-borns serve as slaves. Only one nation is powerful enough to not be conquered, and it does nothing to stand against Lord Voldemort's forces.

It is this world that Harry Potter, the 67 year old man-who-failed, wakes up. He is awoken by Benjamin Longbottom, a higher-up of the last remaining resistance group. Along with a small group of other wizards, Ben found and broke into the prison where Harry is kept after almost a decade of searching. After fighting their way out of the prison, and riding to a safe house, Benjamin confides that he believes Harry is the worlds last hope. Not only to defeat Voldemort himself, but to bring hope and life back to the people of the world.

Unfortunately, Harry Potter is a bit confused. In his last memory, he was still a 17 year old, facing off against the most powerful wizard alive. Now, he's a 67 year old who truly has the weight of the world on his shoulders. After coming to terms with what has happened, Harry agrees to at least try to lead them.

Harry, however, has limited magical power, and a tired, atrophied body. Voldemort planned in advanced for an escape, and placed powerful magic-binders on Harry. Harry and the resistance group must brave a raid on the old ministry of magic, and the department of mysteries in order to remove them.

Before the raid, however, Harry must adapt to his body. While he only appears to be in his mid-thirties due to the tendency of powerful magical people to live longer lives than muggles, the lack of any movement over the past five decades has atrophied his muscles and deteriorated his bones. He must go through a regiment of potions and slow exercises to further his recovery. While going through his recovery, Harry is taught as much magic as possible from both Benjamin, and the rest of the resistance crew.

Once the magical limiters are finally removed, Harry's magic is released. After being stored for fifty years, pushing against its bindings, Harry's magical power is astounding, rivaling that of the Dark Lord (they have equal magical power). He begins to help the resistance with their campaigns.

After being escorted to the resistance's main base, the newly empowered Harry finds a sleeping portrait of Dumbledore, seemingly rescued from Hogwarts before it's fall. It hadn't awoken, however, until Harry finds it. After waking up, Dumbledore is just as horrified as Harry was when he finds the world his portrait has awoken to. He tells Harry of the Deathly Hollows and the Elder Wand. Harry believes the wand may be the key to victory.

If Harry can find and defeat Voldemort using the Elder Wand, the unfallen nation could use the ensuing chaos to push back against Voldemort's forces and turn the tide of the war. The many sides that were held together by their fear of Voldemort would be reduced to fighting, werewolves against pureblood fanatics ect...

Unfortunately, the Elder Wand's current master is none other than one Severus Snape, or at least, Dumbledore believes it to be. Harry couldn't use the wand even if he found it.

After tracking down and fighting Snape, Harry finds out that it is Draco Malfoy, not Snape who was the last master of the Elder Wand.

Harry tracks down Malfoy, but is betrayed by part of the resistance and captured by him. Draco plans to use Harry as an offering to gain a higher standing in the new world order. But before Malfoy can call on his master, a small group of rebels led by the elderly Seamus Finnegan, containing mostly wanna-be IRA muggles, breaks in and frees Harry. After dueling and defeating Malfoy, he takes control of the Elder Wand. Which Harry finds out from Malfoy is kept in Hogwarts; Voldemort didn't know Malfoy was the master of the wand (and neither does Malfoy).

After meeting up once again with the rebel group, a few rebels and Seamus's IRA group raid Hogwarts in an attempt to get the wand. Benjamin Longbottom dies during the raid, but sacrifices himself to let Harry get to the wand. Using the Elder Wand, Harry clears the way to victory.

The remaining rebels, however, don't have the same faith in Harry Benjamin had had instilled in him by his grandfather Neville. They refuse to follow him and set up base in what remains of Hogwarts. Seamus and his now much smaller group, do agree to follow him. Eventually, they meet up with a few others (your choice) and begin the trek into Voldemort's home territory (massive apparition and portkey wards requires them to trek on foot or by broom, which are scarce).

After a long journey, during which many fights and trials occur, they come onto Voldemort's fortress. They are soon joined by a force from the remaining nation, and they storm the castle.

Harry duels and defeats Voldemort. The duel is long, and there is little banter on either side. Voldemort has years of knowledge and experience, Harry has the Elder Wand and tutelage of Albus Dumbledore's portrait, along with the power Voldermort knows not.

After killing Voldemort, Harry realizes that his Horcruxes still exist. While the battle rages and the dark side breaks down and fights among itself, Harry still goes out and finds a few Horcruxes to destroy, some are also destroyed by the remaining nation or have already been destroyed.

    End it however you like.

    Rules:

~ No pairings. Harry is 67 years old, with the mind of a 17 year old. No matter who it is, it'd be creepy.
~ The magical world has been revealed to the muggle world. Voldemort has utterly decimated muggle weaponry through massive magnetic spells and vanishing charms. Sorry, no nukes.
~ The 'surviving nation' can be whichever you wish. Pick somewhere non-random please. The United Caliphate of Islam would certainly be interesting, same with a Christian nation.
~ Harry is 67, but he's magical. Remember that wizards, especially powerful ones, live on into their hundreds.
~ The rebels are not advanced. They do not have great technology. They are the underdog. Harry Potter is an underdog in this story.
~ Harry, despite being Voldemorts, equal, is going up against a lot more than Voldemort.
~ Voldemort is not retarded. He recognized Harry's escape, and will send everything he can spare after him.
~ This was originally going to be a Hellgate crossover, with Ben Longbottom and Co as Templar ect. You can attempt this, but I didn't write it because of how shitty the first chapter came out.
