It's just the main page though (luckily the database seems intact), everything else is fine, you just have to type the author's name and .fanficauthors.net if you want to access it.

Call me a stick-in-the-mud, but I fail to see the humor in one of my sources of stories (even if I don't read much of what's posted there) getting hacked. I mean, really, what's the point of fucking with FFA?

If any of them had to get hacked though, FFN has vastly larger amounts of bad (bad, really bad) fiction and far more annoying policies/admins...

Obviously I'm missing the point and this guy is a revolutionary, striking a blow for... for... I don't know, bored douchebags everywhere?

Eh. Just a soccer picture probably of some guy kicking another guy in the face. I didn't look too closely. Middle of the page had the e-name of the guy who did it.

 

personally i find hackers to be the silliest idiots on the internet.

 

The site is down until Tim can root around and figure out what the hacker did. It didn't really accomplish anything other than waste a chunk of Tim's time this weekend.

Hopefully, he'll get it back online soon.

There are a couple of Kinsfire's stories that I like. Not many, because he's waaaay to into Harry with a Harem for my liking, and even those that aren't Haremish are too old for me. (Not into NC-17. Really not into it.) But, hey, Wishful Thinking isn't bad, and I enjoyed Death of a Hero...

 

I don't think that anyone here really minds the harems.. It is the whole "Oh Emm Gee.. I am so Emo I better try to kill myself" type shit that he always does.. And he just plain sucks ass

 

Yeah...it's not the harems so much as the hugely convenient, sudden and unrealistic way it occurs, raping all of the characters in the process. For example...

Harry walks into a cafe in Little Winging.

Hermione: Oh hello, Harry! Fancy seeing you here in the summer, when really I have no reasonable way to be here, nor any reason. Oh Look! It's the Patil twins too!

Patil Twins: Hey Harry!

Hermione: We've decided we all love you...

Cue monologue describing how great Harry is, Jecanois-style.

...so let's have a Harem!

Patil Twins: Yeah!

Harry: Sure, okay. This is a perfectly normal thing to happen, and not so weird that I should assume it's a plot by Voldemort.

 

Notice that the two stories I named have no pairings. At all. And in Death of a Hero, Harry bashed Voldemort's brains out with an IV pole. That was good.

 

I guess could someone enlighten me to the hate that is spread for the whole of the authors at FFA.net

I will admit that some of them are a bit over the top (a lot of KF's story), but there are a few authors that I do enjoy, and I don't see why there is a joy that their site is violated as such.

Just wondering for the sake of wondering. And pardon my ignorance.
