Hey everyone. So I'm looking for a particular time travel story I caught a few months back but looks like I never added to my story alerts.

The basic setting I can remember is this. Harry gets shot back in time as a slightly older self. I think he may have been a few years out of hogwarts, still young. He saves a member of the black family from a diagonal alley strike by the order of the phoenix. In this story apparently the order was aggressive as well with strikes against dark families and death eaters.
The meat of the story Ive read to this point is that he gets taken in by the black family as a tutor for their kids. He tutors all three sisters, Sirius, ect. The sisters are in their later hogwarts years and he seems to be putting some effort into easing bellatrix off the darker magic.

Lol... It wasn't that badly written as I remember. It wasn't a death eater love fest either he was in a very neutral position and basically seemed like it was just bidding some time and building some characterization of people. Nothing had really happened yet to show where the story was going.

Nope not that one. I'm actually not entirely sure it's going to be a Harry/Bella ship, though it has given them more show time than any other pairings. But nothing hinting at a relationship when i had left off.

As another aspect to relate it too, I know what f the themes mentioned was that young Sirius was distrustful of Harry and that was another relationship that was slowly developing. Is possible that was even mentioned in the story summary.

I remember reading that, it's actually quite interesting how Harry tries to change the Blacks from within. It has a couple of OCs that aren't that bad, characterization-wise the author managed to give each of the Black children a distinctive personality and this whole cold and calculating pureblood angle is readable as well.

I think I was going to wait for the next couple of chapters before posting it in Almost Recommended, it's at least a decent way to spent a couple of minutes I suppose.

Compared to what; My Immortal? I read two chapters, more than enough time to get the feel for story and talent of the author, keeping in mind that first chapters are often the worst.

The grammar is unbelievably bad as shown by the paragraph that I quoted above. It feels like it was written in a different language and then shot through Google translator for maximum unreadability. The writing is stilted, the dialog (internal and spoken) is highly unrealistic, the characters are caricatures, the OC's ridiculous, and the premise overreaching.

What, pray tell, is decent?

 

I stopped right there. Reminded me of all the shitty "Lily Potter nee Evens" opener that only retards ever use.

 

Yeah, I took a look at the first chapter, then skimmed the next chapter as well to see that it's mostly from a point of view that's no HP.

Then I decided not to bother with it.
