40 minute LotR fan film that looks surprisingly good.

Though lol at the guy who plays Aragorn trying to be like movie!Aragorn but being nowhere near as pretty. And Gandalf looks a bit on the chubby side.

But yeah, check out the trailer. The film proper is "released" on May 3rd.

    Taure,

You deserve all manner of sexual favours for bringing this to our attention.

It looks like a fair amount of effort went into it, and the fact that it's being released for free reflects the commitment. Heh, is this the future of fan fiction?

    Looking forward to this.

"The Hunt for Gollum"? Some sort of Fanfiction? AU? Luckily, no Sam trying to suck Frodo's cock...

For an independent, on-line, fan-production looks surprisingly good. At least worth seeing, but it'll probably end up as another LOTR 'movieverse' fanwank, in detriment of the cinematography.

As I said, at least it makes one want to see it, let it be to enjoy it, or to see how bad they fuck things up.

It's LotR canon: we're told about it in the books (IIRC at the Council of Elrond), but don't see it.

It looks surprisingly good, will definitely watch on Sunday. Animation looked fairly basic(but still good for amateur stuff) on the ring falling+ Gollum part.

This looks pretty good, its supposed to come out today but haven't see it anywhere yet. And yes... aragorn looks odd with that guy playing him. But atleast from what i have seen in the trailer they can act better than some of those other fanmade movies *snorts*

It's briefly mentioned at the Council of Elrond that Aragorn and Elrond pursued Smeagol and maybe in the latest editions of the LoTR books, in the version I have printed in the 60s, the red hardcover ones, the story of the chase is expounded in the appendices to Return of the King.

As to this I read about it on BBC, doesn't seem too bad, certainly a little better done than your usual cardboard fan cinematography.

Just watched it and for a fan-made independent production it was surprisingly good.
