Harry/Luna isnt all that bad if done right. There is this Post-HBP one that Harry takes Luna along but not Ginny. I think it broke her little heart, lol.

I agree. Luna as a character has just been sort of canon-vague, a good author can run with her character and make her intruiging.

The downside to that is bad authors have no good template to write her, so a complex, mostly unknown character like hers comes out flat and exaggerated if not done by a good author.

Yes. She is either too whack or not whack enough in most stories. They dont get that right amount of whackyness she has.

It's all JK's fault for he sub standed overview of characters, we all know that Luna is like a doped up retard...ok maybe not so bad, the only good thing really about her character is that you do have room to improve her. meh *shrugs*

Serpant trilogy was the last Harry/slut story i really liked and sib-ff's awakening of power...im all for the Harry/Slytherin girl, Harry/Lily and Harry/Cho now. But i admit you converted me to Harry/Cho Sera, Bravo!

I like Luna alot more than most characters. Author's just need to know how to write her properly.

I agree. Luna if written well could be a very deep character. Eccentric, odd, but also very intelligent and logical. Most authors hardly convey her character though, which I dislike.

Yes, one almost has to know a "Luna" to write her. I'm attempting it, but I have to base parts of her character on a nonconformist I know.

Well, that's what happens when JKR just leaves her characters hanging like that. People tend to interpret their personalities differently. That results in crappy fanfiction.....Thus, I do not like her....

I'd pick her as the best suited to Harry in canon. Dont know eachother that well yet but that can change.

In my opinion, a Slytherin would probably be best suited for Harry (she'd change him, make him more Slytherin), but Luna would work well too.

But not any of the canon ones for sure. Rowling stereotypically made all the Slytherins as ugly on the outside as they are on the inside.

    *grumbles*

That's why I like the idea of a female Blaise Zabini (and is in my eyes, HBP isn't canon to me). We know so little about the character, we can mold her to whatever we want.

Yes, Rowling should have listed more names in the sorting in SS/PS for us to choose from - then we wouldn't have to resort to making Blaise female.

I've always thought of Blaise as a guy. Just made more sense to me. Of course, I don't write so....well, at least not yet anyways. Though I'd still probably make Blaise a guy if I ever got around to it.
