Losing Faith in Fanfiction.

    I couldn't agree more. When I first started reading fanfiction, I would read anything, and I would eat it up. Not only that, but I became indoctrinated, and actually started looking for fics that were direct paraphrases of ones I had just finished. Hell, my first fic (abandoned and stripped from the web, thank you) was an H/G R/Hr Super!Harry Post-HBP! The only reason it wasn't more cliché than that was because I had (mercifully) never read a Gringotts-based Political!Harry fic!

    Now, of course, my standards are much higher. I usually won't even read the first chapter of anything unless it gets a ringing endorsement from a source I respect (namely the good folks here at DLP ;) ).

    On a side note, it will be interesting to see how many people actually post updates or reviews or ANYTHING during the few days after the release of Deathly Hallows...
