Anyone familiar with a story in which Legolas and Gimli encounter an mysterious elf while they're spending a night at the shore (while building their ship?)? Though unnamed, people who've read the Silmarillion will recognize their guest as Maglor.

 

I know exactly what you're talking about, but I can't find it in my favorites. I'm almost positive that it's on tvtropes' fanfiction recommendation page for either LotR or the Silmarillion.

 

On your recommendation, I looked through the tvtropes pages, but I didn't see it on either one.
