MASH is a comedy about the Korean war, set in the 4077 medical unit.

I was wondering if anyone actually watched this show anymore or is it too old for this generation.
I highly recommend it for those who haven't watched.

I pretty much grew up watching this show, despite being a generation late. Its a good mix of serious issues and humor.

My grandfather turned me on to it two years ago.
It actually gets more serious in the later seasons because some of the writers quit.

    Fixed.

And is there anyone who hasn't watched MASH at some point in their life? There's always been at least one channel showing it daily at some quiet timeslot for as long as I can remember.

I watch it all the time, or at least parts of different episodes until something else is on. There's two episodes a day on one of the pay-tv channels I get.

The only bad thing about it is when I get that damn song stuck in my head.

This is now a thread about epic mash quotes.

Hawkeye: You know, I never hit a woman.
Burns: You lay one finger on Margaret...
Hawkeye: I was talking about you, Frank.

Frank Burns: [into a walkie-talkie] Any allied personnel, if you receive me, here is my position. Ready?
    [peers out the window]
Frank Burns: There are only about half a dozen stars visible sky-wise. I am directly under the brightest one. Over.
    Hawkeye: Terrific, Frank.
B.J.: They'll start searching for us in Bethlehem.

Even though it's on all the time, I have yet to meet a single person in my age range that has watched it.

That's depressing. I've always watched MASH, as it was one of my dad's favorite shows during his teens. I've got all eleven seasons on some form of media player or another.

"A good cigar is like a beautiful chick with a great body who also knows the American League box scores." - Klinger.

I think it's from the first episode of the forth or fifth season.

Worst part is that it's just as relevant now as it was in the seventies.

Also, the movie is better. Far better.

Watched it followed by Falcon Ridge, Dynasty, Cheers, and god knows how many other "classic" shows I was punished with as a small child. Oh and Dallas.

    Who shot JR? o_O

    It was all a dream.

Lucky, I've only managed to snag the compete first season at an fye when I was dropping my dad off at Camp Shelby.

@Midknight: Were you forced to watch Doctor Who? (Is that considered a classic here?)

    MASH fanfact: Doctor Grip Kellum

Also Richard sent Kellum a manuscript and asked Kellum to read it to make sure he was protraying the events correctly.

I've only watched Dr. Who here and there in the last few years, and it made me cringe enough to not want to watch it unless I had to.

I was forced to watch the old version. I felt my brain melting, I kidd you not.

I haven't yet seen the movie - is it something I've missed out on?

Doctor who - there was one episode where a giant head controlling an underground city or something died. As you can probably tell, there was nothing else on at the time. Horrible show.

    /thread jacking.
