This game is a fucking RIOT! :D

Havent played multiplayer yet, but Im jonesing for it. The only issue Im having so far is after about 15 minutes, my computer gets really hot while playing this game. Textures will start to glitch out and I can see the polygon count. :/

Protip: Near the end of level 2, when you get to the river, use your frost to freeze it and go north. You'll shortly come to a log that you can enter. This leads you into a glade that contains the Master Sword. It even shoots blasts when youre at full life! 400 damage a shot!

Downloaded it, started messing around and I think I've killed myself a hundred times now. I tend to wind up just mashing keys asdf and rolling with whatever comes out.

The Totally Rad Show did a pretty good video review of the game here: http://revision3.com/trs/magicka

    The main points were:

    1. Co-op multiplayer is fucking awesome.
    2. The magic system rocks. No mana pool. Relies on player creativity. Is what a Harry Potter magic system in a game should be.
    3. KB/Mouse is not good for everyone. Try a gamepad.
    4. Game is [was?] buggy, but patches are being rushed out very, very frequently.
    5. This should be a full priced game. $10 is a bargain.

There is different bling. Im not sure how to get it, but Ive seen people with different hats. Also, you can pick up other weapons and staffs that not only look different, but do different things.

Bought it this afternoon...Only played Adventure Mode so far, but it is pretty fun. Kinda hard with only one person to focus on healing and defending and attacking all at the same time...

I've been playing Adventure mode for the past few hours and I'm loving it so far, although it became a lot easier once I found out I could store a spell in my sword.

Imagine how awesome it will be. I'm still trying to hold off playing the adventure mode while my net sucks/ getting my friends to buy it, but the game gets better everytime I play(Or maybe it's just me getting better).

Anyway, anyone still plays the game? Once I figured out I should start using shields I started to look way more pro while playing =D

Wow. So, that's what they've been doing in between the regular patches. Goddamn. When do the folks at Arrowhead ever find time to sleep?

I hope it's flying thick and fast with Rambo references.

Okay, the attempt to get a DLP group on this has failed apparently.

    Lets try it again.

How does Thursday, 5 PM EST sound to anyone?

Just finished Magicka today in solo adventure. It was quite fun but I ended up having to spam the M60 and summon elementals towards the end as the mobs and everything were getting quite out of hand for solo. I actually found that beating the orc boss was harder than any of the other bosses solo and that chapter 11 was epic hard in solo without the spamming of summo elemental and invisibility.

Yet to try challenge mode. Does challenge mode end after a certain number of waves? And it is possible to beat solo? My net is not conducive to Magicka multiplayer it seems.

The game was really made for co-op, half the fun comes from killing your friends on "accident".

Yes I know but when you cannot go multiplayer then finishing it solo is fine enough. I can definately see the reply value with friends though and it would be a lot of fun I'm sure but you make do with what you got.

Bumping for release of the new DLC: Vietnam for 5$. You can also buy the game and both the dlc for 8 bucks.

Me? I'll buy it after the 2k sales. Who knows which games will come up next(already considering buying bioshock 1&2)

Just picked up the Magicka Complete Pack, downloading now.

My opinion of Steam has changed remarkably since it first came about.
