That works too. I would think for full effect it would need to be a smaller unit of currency, since anyone would pick up a twenty.

Oh, well if we'd like the most likely possible explanations for jokes every time we posted them, I would have preferred to have someone clarify that in advance.

Anyway, this is a reference to a phenomenon in the Spanish Housing crisis during which people tried to destroy buildings to raise the value of their homes, but their attempts were mostly unsuccessful.
