    To be fair, if I was in the cashier's shoes, I'd take that trade, pretend to enter the order, then take the kid to the break room and immediately call CPS from there.

    If it got the baby away from him, sure.

    I wonder who he planned (the 15 big macs guy) would the baby go to ultimately (like, was he giving the cashier the baby with intent for him to raise it?).

    I'm honestly not sure why you think his thought process even went that far.

    Maybe the cashier had wanted to adopt a child but not go through the necessary paperwork?

    Not before CPS got there, at least. I might if it'd get him to stay.

    Actual serious answer: people in that situation aren't thinking straight. Eg, after disasters, people who get massive insurance pay outs from housing etc often blow the money on something completely stupid like a boat/vacation. But it's not because they're all idiots making bad decisions, but when you are too stressed, you stop using the front part of your brain, which is what you use for creative thinking/good judgement. You instead revert back to instincts, and most people dream about winning lotto and buying a boat, or going on a vacation.

    This guy... I'm not even going to try to explain that one. But thinking wasn't a part of it.

    @Innomine

    You mean Mr. Big Mac or the cashier who (seems to have) casually accepted the baby?

    Cashier is an innocent bystander in this. But we're getting off topic here.

    Here's my first contribution to this thread to get us back on track.

    Well, this appears to be either about the 2014 World Cup or Argentina playing host to a significant number of Nazis after the end of World War II.

    The world is a funny place sometimes.
