I dunno man, Warsaw Pact imploded and NATO borders on Belarus. The USSR died and Russia had to go cap in hand for loans, all the while it faced a crisis the likes of which no Western nation has seen after WW2.

Russia propping Assad ( where Obama ruled all out intervention ) and meddling in Ukraine ( not in NATO ) is peanuts.
