Focusing on Shuri was the wrong choice, essentially every other Wakandan named character is more interesting (including the ones they killed off). The movie was in theory about processing grief, but in practice it was the same theme as the first one, the Black Panther being tempted by the Dark Side (and the first one did this great, the sequel couldn't compare to it). Keeping it a little vague for spoilers sake.

I ended up seeing it twice in the cinema, not exactly by choice but not unwillingly either. Thought it was basically fine, but there was enough plot happening to fill two films even before you factored in the mourning/memorial aspects, so it ended up not doing any of them brilliantly.

Finally got round to seeing Antman. It's...fine. Jonathan Majors impressed me more than he did in Loki, but nothing much else of note to remark on. Well, depending on how you feel about that one character, I guess.
Modok just felt like they knew no-one was going to care about Darren, so they played his arc for laughs, which is kinda fair but also just doubled down on the whole "why should I give a shit?" of it

Weirdly, despite it being pushed as the first part of Phase 5, you could probably skip it entirely without missing too much.

Oh? Is Phase 4 officially over? Most of is skippable. Only Spidey 3 was really worth watching.

Yep. Apparently the Guardians Christmas special was the official conclusion.

Eternals - Pretty but far too many cringe moments for me
Shang-Chi - Pretty, but far too many cringe moments for me
Doctor Strange - Promising and neat in a lot of ways, but damn were there some major problems. America Chavez... ugh.
Spidey - I liked it about as much as the other Spideys.
Wakanda Shur-eva - Shuri didn't have the chops to go solo. Namor and his people worst villains since Darren Cross. Riri... ugh.
Black Widow - ... it was... a popcorn movie, and ultimately useless.
    Morbius - I just... no.
Thor - Tried way too hard to be Ragnarök.

    Did I miss anyone?

Quality-wise Phase 4 sucked rancid cock, and this coming from a major MCU fan. They just seemed to be vehicles to introduce new substandard characters.

Morbius is not MCU, no matter how much Sony wishes to make it so.

I would agree with you if they didn't bring in Vulture as an end credits scene. I claim it as MCU because of that. They allowed it, even though it was stupid as shit and made absolutely no sense. It isn't, because it failed. If it was a hit, they'd be claiming it. They can't take it back, just claim it as AU like AoS, Defenders, etc.

It's officially not MCU and not Phase 4 movie because it's not produced by Marvel Studios and Disney has no control over it unlike Spider-Man that they produce with Sony. It's what Sony calls Sony's Spider-Man Universe along with Venom.

    EDIT:
And Disney didn't allow anything. Any Spider-Man character is Sony's and it actually goes the other way, it's Sony that allows Marvel to use them as part of MCU. And Disney is not exactly happy about that. They had a big fight over Spider-Man too and his place in MCU that almost ended with no future MCU Spider-Man.

Dude, I'm not getting all pedantic about the issue. Marvel is one of the productions companies. It's using an MCU character. So, I'm putting it in the mix with all of them, just like Venom, Deadpool, AoS, Defenders, and whoever else is a part of the Marvel universe over the last decade.

Not in terms of the films, but Phase 4 also included Wandavision, Falcon and Winter Soldier, Loki, Hawkeye, Ms Marvel, Moon Knight and She-Hulk

Haven't watched the Ms. Marvel show, so can someone explain to me how she became a superfan of Captain Marvel?

Like I didn't think she was a public Superhero active on Earth at any moment for her to develop a media presence like the Avengers or Spider-man.

She was apparently in the media enough for a teenage girl to pick her as her favourite. Post snap she would of been st least known if not as well as the core avengers.

Just saw the Secret Invasion Trailer today, and I’m honestly liking it. They’re going with a Winter Soldier-esque vibe, which I think is sorely needed to pull it off.

    Thoughts?

I haven’t watched any other movies post-Endgame but both Spider-Man movies (Far From Home and No Way Home) were great. Especially if you liked the pre-Marvel Spider-Man movies.

Into the Spiderverse was amazing was well but I guess it doesn’t really count as an MCU flick.
