Yeah, especially since they've basically painted him as a psychopath (as opposed to a sociopath, according to some). Usually a redeemable character has at least one trait that helps him or her be redeemed. He has none (everything he does can be called into question as manipulation, including his relationship to Skye and Agent 33).

Any ideas as to who the exiled inhuman is? Comic book character or original?

I don't know why Will would be thought of as the big bad. I don't think the episode he was in gave any sort of indication that he was and if he was trying to get back to Earth to be evil I doubt he would have created a sandstorm to prevent his own success as Jemma was going to walk him through the portal with her.

Welp. I think we are gonna be seeing the last of ward in the next episode.

There is no redemption for him. I think he has gone too far for redemption to be possible.

How do you think he is going to die next episode? Who is gonna get the kill? Or do you think he is going to escape again?

Coulson, maybe Fitz. I anticipate Will saving Coulson, possibly recognizing him from Gemma's picures/video.

Ward is gonna escape. They will probably kill him by the end of the season, but they never normally kill villains in mid-season finales.

I think it's quite possibly nobody will kill him, but instead he will remain trapped in the world. Possibly for future use.

There IS a Hydra monster called Hive that could match but I'm not entirely sure.

Seems the most likely tbh - mostly a secret warriors thing - which is wht they seem to be heading towards.

Okay,I was wondering, what exactly is HYDRA's goal? What's their endgame? World Domination? World Destruction? Culling of the population?

Also, can these guys not see that they're fucking with the whole Thanos situation? When aliens exist, fighting amonst humans just seems stupid. I mean, this is an organisation that has existed for over half a century, is it really that much of an issue for them to go back underground for like another decade or two?

Their goal is to bring IT back and help it take over the world, at which point they will rule by its side.

Why would they see that? Literally nobody we've seen (except possibly Loki) knows what Thanos' endgame is - only Thor is now starting to get an idea of the pieces that are in motion. How on Earth would Hydra be aware of his plans? Even if they were, I'm sure they'd feel that an Earth united under IT and with an army of Inhumans would be better equipped to fend of Thanos than the current 'chaos'. Aliens emerging amongst humans is huge, yes, but why should it mean anything other than that they should move up their timeline? I mean, this is an age of discovery. Surely it falls to the true visionaries like Whitehall and co. to fully realize the potential that this new universe has to offer, right?

Edit: Also, the organization has existed not for half a century, but for millennia. Still doesn't mean they should stay hidden at this pivotal moment in history, when they could be guiding the changes instead.

Hated the show until Grant Ward turned evil, did not see that coming. At least he's not soooo boring anymore

I remember the first few episodes until the Hydra reveal being slow as hell. Some good episodes but it was mostly character building, which was boring. Of course, all that has paid off ever since because the show can now move at breakneck speed without stopping us from caring about the characters.

I really fucking hope not. This show has been pretty good, but that would destroy all hope for where they take it. Honestly, given how they've handled things so far, I actually doubt they'll go that way.

I am not the biggest fan of Hydra real goal bringing back this mysterious alien and being hundreds of years old but it at least fixes my problem with Hydra being an Ex-Nazi organisation existing decades after the fall of the Third Reich and lacking any clear goal beyond the destruction of Shield. Its continued existence makes finally some sense (though I still don`t what exactly motivates their not in the know members) - I hope that the explore their alternative vision of society a bit more.

Gathering all the Infinity Stones together into the Infinity Gauntlet (the thing he wore at the end of AoU and what we see him wearing in the IW trailer) is his ultimate goal. This would give him cosmic-level omnipotence. I haven't read the comics either, but this is what I've gathered from looking up stuff I saw in the MCU. Apparently when he gets the Gauntlet together in the comics, he snaps his fingers and half the living beings in the universe die.
