Random shower thought, was thinking about the deathly hallows and the whole master of death thing, and wondered if there was a master of life. Maybe a group of three magical artifacts that are a total opposite of the deathly hallows.

Anyway was wondering if there were any stories that are about this concept or at best mentions it passing.

 

As much as I love the concept of duality, I feel like there is an aspect of 'master of life' to the Deathly Hallows to an extent. By mastering death there is an implied mastery over life, but it's an interesting idea. I wonder how it would truly work, if it would be the antithesis of the Hallows or if it would be some fertility artefacts...

I remember HP/Marvel crossover when Harry returned the Hallows to the Death and was rewarded with a 'wand of life' made of the branch of Yggdrassil and the shard of Mkraan crystal.

 

You must have missed a lot of canon, OP. There is no 'Master of Death'. It's an empty title. It means nothing beyond the fact that the person does not fear death, but accepts it when it comes, thus 'mastering' it.

You've been reading too much indy fanfiction.

Edit: Also, we have threads for 'shower thoughts' or random questions that don't deserve their own thread. Don't clutter the board with useless threads.

 

While master of death might simply be a title, the hollows are real and should be all used in some kind of manner. Possibly even beyond the magical items they are.

 

While most of us have accepted that because it is pretty much undeniably the truth if the matter, I hardly think the OP should be lambasted for coming up with a possible alternative on a fanfiction forum.

We've all accepted canon yes but if we strangle new and different interpretations right off the bat there won't be much fanfiction left to discuss.

Rep is right though, OP. There are threads for these things. That doesn't mean a discussion should be killed off but still, take a longer lol next time.

Did a bit more thinking about the whole opposite deathly hallows and came up with a few ideas:
- Could be associated to the holy trinity from Christianity
- Three sisters that could be related to purity, selflessness and innocence
- Probably a more guarded secret

 

There was something similar it was about three sisters and three gifts from a jinn.
