Have d-horse poop in the road, he won't move for them and if they run over the poop they'll spin out and get stunned.

 

Does that work with tanks?

 

Finally did it got 3 tanks out of the eleven and got the awesome launcher just when time was running out.

That's when they decided to give D-horse his poop command. I could have used it before game.

So whats the fastest way of getting a suppressor for my Tranq Sniper rifle? They've begun adding snipers to the outposts and they are annoying the hell out of me.


Also found out that if you call D-horse while running he runs beside you and you can get on top of him without breaking stride. Love this game.

 

Fastest way is to get the legendary gunsmith sideop. It'll take you three different side ops but you can customize your weapons then and add a silencer.

 

I'll probably never play this game, despite how brilliant it is.

That being said, just reading all your anecdotes alone is brilliant entertainment!

I don't know if tanks spin out when they run over poop, probably not, but D-Horse will definitely stop them in place for a bit.

For an easy S rank on mission 9 you can just take out one tank and then smoke the phantom cigar. Found that out today lol.

 

Quick question..did a mission and at the end as I was walking along minding my own business this lens flare happens..couldn't find it source..what is it?

 

No clue, next time immediately use the int-scope though

 

Sniper rifle, if that's what you mean by lens flare? There are snipers out there but aren't you about at the point where you'll trigger the Quiet mission? That might be it as well.

 

They dont. That ability only really works on Jeeps.

But putting Dhorse in the road? Still works.

 

Yeah, I used D-Horse for that mission but I was skeptical on the horse shit working on tank treads.

I finally unlocked weapon customization. Honestly that should've been available way sooner.

Well, I was curious as to what other people thought before I typed up a big review thing.

 

I just beat Chapter 1. I've been roaming around for a bit, just polishing off some side ops, I'll get back to the main story in a bit - well, whatever of it I can access so long as I keep that damn butterfly emblem exactly where it is.

 

Not 100%, since I'm far too lazy to complete all the mission tasks but I've S-ranked every mission already.

 

Thinking about picking this title up, any criticism or things that you guys found off putting? I've played Ground Zero and enjoyed it somewhat is this just an extended version of that.

 

The things I found most off-putting were the story (for various reasons), the lack of content on Mother Base and some Metal Gear mainstays that were lost in translation. But even with that it's eaten up hundreds of hours on my end.

 

Honestly, as a new entrant to the series who didn't really know all that much about Metal Gear before starting, I loved it. I did find Venom Snake to be an unappealing protagonist - he's too silent, really, even when he should be reacting somehow - but the gameplay is absolutely amazing. I haven't delved into multiplayer so I can't say anything for that but the whole singleplayer experience has been fantastic. I haven't played GZ so I can't make any comparisons to that.

 

I've beaten Ch 1, I'll have to upload my current emblem/loadout later tonight when I have access to the PS4.

I honestly disagree with a lot of criticisms I've seen certain places *cough*GAF*cough*

I like the pacing, I think there's TONS of depth and options, as long as you as a player seek out new ways to do things.
