Not sure if it was me or the server but it was decently lagged up. Mobs didn't really notice my presence and blocks wouldn't break properly. They disappear than reappear without dropping anything. Really want to figure this out because its damn boring playing alone.

 

I run out of memory fucking fast. Like, 5 minutes fast. Any hints to rectify this?

 

how much memory/processor speed/video memory (or however video works?) do you FTB veterans suggest?

 

I dedicate 4 gigs of ram, gotta have 64-bit java for it though.
On a sad note, after a long period of exploration, culminating in a stack of iron ore, 4 stacks of coal, half stack of redstone, almost a stack of gold and a diamond, fucking creeper blew up behind me and through me bodily into a pit of lava. This was on the server.

Ah, DLP FTB, it has happened at last. I just logged off the server and it seems pretty nice – I enjoyed it at least, and considering I haven't played DireWolf yet (I've been using my own special blend of the Mindcrack pack), I think it'll be a lot of fun. Hope to see more of you guys on.

Does anyone here watch the Mindcrack guys? They are kinda the premier YouTube Minecraft Let's Players, consisting of some of the biggest Minecraft names on YouTube. Recently, they've finished season ten of their Ultra Hardcore series. In UHC, you don't regen health with a full hunger bar, instead needing to eat golden apples. Also, when you die, you're out. The goal is simple: kill everyone else. It's an amazing series in my opinion.

Now to my idea, which can be summed up with two acronyms: DLP UHC. We get a server for a few hours (the latest Mindcrack ran ~5 hours, the longest to date) and try to kill each other. Who'd be interested in something like that?
