I'm in the same boat as Inq, I haven't been able to connect since my last post.

I just want to clarify that was drome's basement and she made everything there, I just lived there til I built my house... then burned it down.

Actually, that sounds like a lot of fun. Setting up houses filled with traps and treasure, which other people have to work their way through without dying. Kind of like an adventure mode.

I wouldn't mind doing that.

 

Ditto. Been a while since I've dicked around on a public server. Wouldn't mind having some partners in crime.

 

Drome suggested we start a Tekkit server. Could be a lot of fun if a couple people join us.

 

I'd play, but only if we're doing this properly. Getting uber equipment at the start of the game just ruins the enjoyment for me. Plus my laptop would explode if I tried to play Minecraft.

 

Hexxit is what I want to do.

@Jon: I think it'd be worth a shot again. We've had a couple of great and active DLP servers and I think people are definitely interested.

@IdSayWhyNot: Not Tekkit, FTB. I've been playing a bunch of the new FTB Unleashed pack on singleplayer for the last couple of days. It's great - I've never mucked about with Biomes O' Plenty before, but the sheer variety of them and the detail to them is awesome. :3

There are a bunch of mods I really love in the new pack - Tinker's Construct, for example, lets you craft powerful tools that you can repair with just the cost of some material you used to make it, give special abilities like luck (fortune/looting) and haste (mining speed) by putting common materials on it. And on top of that, you can still enchant them, I believe. You can get a buncha tools like axes to fell a tree by breaking the bottom block, area of effect digging tools... the works.

Then of course, there's fun stuff like this:





Unleashed sees the return of awesome stuff like logistics pipes and doesn't have gregtech - the evil soul stealing mod that makes all recipes ten times more expensive and a pain in the arse to get. It has the twilight forest, a new dimension with lots of awesome bosses to fight and places to go adventuring in, mystcraft, IC2, buildcraft, thaumcraft, etc. etc. Basically, all the awesome stuff tekkit has and more.

So I'm pretty excited to be playing - maybe you guys might like to give it a shot, too?

 

If you build it, they will come.

 

I might actually reinstall Minecraft on my computer if there's going to be a FTB minecraft server.

 

I'd be willing to spend some $$ to make it happen.

 

If we do FTB Unleashed, and it is a stable server, I'll join up. Don't really want to start over like I had to do on the last server...
