I meant not sure it's worth it if it lasts only one month. But you're right, one month is plenty to have some fun and then close up shop, if it comes to that.

Tell you what, find us 5 more DLPers who want to give vanilla a go and I'll renew our host for another month.

Azotez I really like TerraFirmacraft. Honestly, if I knew some more java, ftp and plugins I'd give that a go. But I don't. Those kinds of mods like to dick around with some core MC code so you get bugs all over the place, and unfortunately I'm not in a position to constantly monitor and patch them.

If we'd done this before we had our tekkit server yes, but not now. Maybe wait until there's a new cool major version of Minecraft to try out.

Did some more work on that monster.

    Aerial view

    Front gate

    Plug #1

    Plug #2 before

    Plug #2 after

    Plug #3

    Front gate & Plug #3

Interior shot after all the plugs were in place

Interior shot from the same spot later

The interior right now is, as you can see, all drab and monochromatic except for the netherbrick lamps and the statue. The plan was to have the dimensions planned out first before I got to "furnishing". Also, this shot only shows the big central area, there are quite a few closed off areas and some tunnels between different points of the castle. There are plans to build underground, but that's not happening at least until I'm done with what's there.

    Different interior perspective

    And the last pic

The big staircase in the almost center of the last pic leads up to the Plug #2.

So, I've been kind of bored of Overwatch lately, so I've been playing a bit of Minecraft lately. In particular, the Skyfactory2 mod. Shameless streaming plug here. However, I've only just discovered that there is an upgraded version called 2.5. Now, #2 (and #1) were on the AT launcher, and this one is on the Curse launcher (I think). So, what I'm thinking is that perhaps me and someone else can play the modpack together, record it (video + audio), edit it, and post it on the unused dlpgaming channel and pretend like we're bigshot youtubers.

I just finished recording a crash landing LP, so I find myself in a bit of a lull, in that I don't know what to play next. On one hand, I'm thinking of maybe getting a server up (which I know nothing about, other than googling "minecraft server hosting" and looking at the first half-dozen websites). On the other hand, I am on the look out for a new and interesting survival/adventure pack of some sort.

@Palindrome had a sudden nostalgic moment on the drive home remembering our hidden base and nuclear reactor chamber.

Wasn't it the best? It was practically a death trap. Pitch black, with a pitch black bridge across a pitch black pit above a ravine. All hidden within a hill that required you to be tied into the security system to get in or out. And if you didn't go through the doors quick enough you'd just get trapped in them.

My favourite part was luring in the unsuspecting. :D

Do we still have any screenshots floating about? *Inb4 screenshots of nothing but darkness*

I've actually been playing a bit of terrafirmacraft recently. Ahh, it's relaxing. Still haven't gone past copper tools, but my thatch hut is damn cosy, and I've got quite the orchard going.

Has anyone tried technofirmacraft? I've always been curious as to whether it's any good.

Did we actually have our own homes on that server? I don't remember much outside of the secret death trap. And... Paths? A lot of swanky paths?
