It'd be nice if someone who wasn't desperate to perform cunnilingus on Rowling was to interview her.

We might get some useful information - such as why Dumbledore spent his last year on Earth explaining Voldie's life story, and training Harry in how to be a whiny disphit.

Listening now. Man their voices are annoying.

Anyway, apparently the interview covers the following:

Bolded stuff is stuff that could be interesting, depending.

I really think she should leave this question a lone. Any answer and there could be a massive influx of slash stories.

It was actually answered quite well. Rather than being about Dumbledore, it was more about how homosexuality is viewed by the wizarding world.

    Her answer:

For the people concerned with blood purity, so long as you're Pureblood you can get away with anything. Someone like Lucius Malfoy wouldn't care about a Pureblood being gay. It's blood that matters to them, and nothing else.

For the rest of the wizarding world, views on homosexuality mirror that of the Muggle world - differing from person to person.

Still, slash-lovers would use this as an excuse just to have LM/SS and than make a connection to DM/HP.

Damn that hostess's voice gets really annoying, and JKR really didn't tell much more. We know that Harry and Ron didn't go back to school, and she's not coming out with her encyclopedia for probably another ten years.

Wow... her voice is really that bad.

Hahah, she admitted she has nothing better to do.

I cant believe how stupid some people are. JK didnt really say much new stuff just spelt out what people should have already known.

What I did find interesting though is how she said Harry could no longer see thestrals... WTF?

Actually, she said that if students left Hogwarts via boat after graduation, they wouldn't see the thestrals.

Are you sure? I thought she said it was very symbolic that he wouldnt see them. That implies they are there but not visible... but I was listening while writting a letter so...

It was symbolic that they were leaving via the boats, just as they had arrived.

Dunno if you guys have seen this one yet, but apparently, Malfoy marries Daphne's sister.

There's a few other gems in that article.

Part II of the podcast is now available for download. For the most part, it consists of the hosts licking JKR's ass, but there are a couple of curious things said:

    - the "love room" in the DoM contains an extremely powerful love potion; it is given to people to study the effects of love

    - the Elder Wand is different from other wands in that it changes allegiance completely when someone wins it, i.e. it feels no emotional connection to its owner and is attracted only to power

The Elder Wand just boosted itself in my view of Potter Verse. Power seeking wand, full of win.

Did she really say that the encyclopedia wouldn't be out for another ten years or so?

If so then it might actually be worth reading. Of course by then we might not care about the series. But the possibility that it might be a decent book is enough to make me read it, knowing that it might turn out into a history of the Weasley's and their descendants is enough to turn me off from the whole thing though.

Hoping JK R has enough sense to know just how badly some people responded to her ending. Maybe she will find the neutral ground and actually fill it with interesting things to flesh out her universe.

The view on homosexuality seems slightly skewered. If you were promoting purity of line, then wouldn't you want ALL the male and female purebloods breeding to create more people with purity of blood.

Seems logical, but then again there isn't much of that in the Potter verse.

She said that she's in no rush to make it and that she won't comment on any deadline. She then, in a joking manner, said that it could be as long as 10 years. I doubt that it would be. She only said that to demonstrate that she can do it whenever she wants to and nobody can tell her otherwise lol.

I actually liked those interviews, especially in contrast to the other recent once. The stuff about Wand Law sounded quite interesting and logical to me. I already knew most of what she said about the HarryCrux, but ego boosting is pretty nice every once in a while. Have to agree about the voice, though.

They must have gotten their NEWTs, though. How else could they be Aurors?

It's not like you need a secret room in the DoM to get some of that...;)
