You are an Arab Sheikh/Russian Oil Baron with more money then god and less sense then a housecat. You're a big fan of Harry Potter and fanfiction.

Somehow, you throw enough money at the principle cast and most of the minor cast members to reprise their roles. JK wants to try and actually build Hogwarts, moving staircases and all, and could use the money, and WB's is promised a blockbuster (and even more money) if they let you film. All you need is a script.

So what story in all of HP fanfiction do you think would translate best into a film?

To go by genre, maybe - If I wanted a good Sci-fi, "Browncoat, Green Eyes" would be fun to see.

It would have to be some story that has a lot of interesting things to show, so political stories are probably out. Flashy battles, destructive spells... That kind of thing. Unfortunately, I can't think of such story right now.

On a more serious note: As much as I love Wastelands, I think there's too much going on inside of Harry's head to make a smooth transition into a movie possible.

My vote would probably go to either Calz' Ambient or Matt's Incorruptible. Incredible stories taking place in a more mature world suited to all of the Harry Potter fans that have become adults by now. Enough changes to make it different, interesting and new.

 

Prince of a Dark Kingdom.

The Unforgiving Minute. By the Divining Light and Conlaodh's Song. Prince of the Dark Kingdom. And what the hell, Sacrifices Arc.

 

Prince of the Dark Kingdom as a HBO show. Each season would be around a year or two in action.

I just think it would make a great film with the old magic and a new cast. It would be new and exciting without it being almost too much (Wastelands of Time).

Plus, who wouldn't want to watch an HP series about Voldemort ruling?

 

Unatoned, because I'm pretty sure that it is basically Gone Girl, from what people have told me about that movie? Also, Breach of Contract: Twelve Signs; and/or Incorruptible.

All three of these stories are complete and are relatively compact. I think I just really want to see a movie with post-Voldemort harry.

 

I'd love to see Inverarity's Hogwarts Houses Divided as a movie. You could have the original cast as cameos (Neville would be a supporting actor, and he'd be about the right age now). You'd have to roll the dice and hope you get lucky with 4 really good child actors, but hey, this is a fantasy, so...

I think it would work really well as a movie. Compelling characters, a clear antagonist, a good mix of action and drama.

Throw my money at the Marvel machine and make Wand and Shield by Roarian.

Seriously, with a good voice actor for the Hat TLIL could be the best thing since crisped bacon.
