Van Helsing, the Bond movies, Natural Born Killers, Sin City, and Serenity are the ones off the top of my head.

Yeah, Bernard is fantastic. You have to love someone who will actively try to get beaten up by skinheads to avoid taxes.

I've never seen Jonathan Creek, but is it anything like the Dresden Files?

Nah, Jonathan Creek is a stage magician rather than the wizard type. The humour's quite good in it too.

Stardust is absolutely amazing and I'll second Black Hawk Down for a good war film.

For a series, check out Supernatural, the graphics are fairly understated but it seems to work really well - soundtrack is awesome as well.

The battery on the Reader lasts for 7200 page turns. And it doesn't use the battery at all when you aren't changing the page - that's what keeps the battery up for so long.

Silence of the Lambs is a really good one. Hannibal and Red Dragon are pretty good too.

Just finished "Sweeney Todd" and I liked it very much. But, then, I always like Tim Burton's movies...

I'm gonna have to hop on the bandwagon with the Ironman praise, and Cloverfield was quite good too.

Don't got to see The Happening though. It sucks. REALLY bad. I went in expecting killer bees stabbing out peoples' eyeballs, all I got was some not-even-half-assed acting and some 'killer' plants. Seriously, the plants secreted some kind of toxin that made people kill themselves. It sounds kinda cool... but believe me, it's not. It's got a strong Christian theme to it too, which annoyed me. "There are some things in nature that we'll never understand" being accepted as a good answer in a science class... I choked on my pepsi.

Bah, I needed to rant on that to someone >_>. Most boring film ever!

Sweeney Todd was fail, although that could be because I despise all musicals.

A movie I forgot to mention before that is very good is "The Prestige." Christian Bale at his finest and... well, bad things happen to Hugh Jackman. That alone makes the movie full of win. Seriously good movie. If you haven't seen it, it is about stage magicians and it is very good.

Are you serious? And here I was thinking that DLP members have at least some standards in terms of plot appreciation...

BTW, I forgot to mention the Bourne trilogy.

I've been gleefully clapping my hands for the last three pages. My dad asked what I wanted in return for my good grades. I'm gonna hand him a list.

I'll second Enemy at the Gates, and ïf you have not read the novel that it was partially based on "war of the rats", do it now.
The first Hulk movie from 2003 was really long and really boring, don't buy it.
    No Country For Old Men
    Se7en
    Lucky Number Slevin
    The Island
    S.W.A.T.

    Spoiler much?

Iron Man was of course full of win, as the bandwagon shows. The Prestige and Se7en are both kickass movies same with The Prestige and are worth checking out.

Schindler's List is a nice one and depending on who you are it's either full of lulz or depression. Taxi Driver is nice as well.

The Manchurian Candidate is a movie I liked, though I think there was a remake. Not sure though, if there was, the original is probably better.

I liked The Usual Suspects as well, pretty good film.

    American History X
    The Departed
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

I can't remember the name exactly I think it's '1402', a film with John Cusack abuot a hotel room that's haunted. Sounds full of fail but surprisingly good.

On that note, Grosse Pointe Blank is a brilliant Cusack film (his best IMO) with a great soundtrack and many lulz moments.

Rome is an awesome show even if the second season was a bit weaker compared to the first one.

    Also watch Blue Velvet!

The best way to describe the movie is that it's a bit like a story written by Vash.

Everything else I would've recommended has already been recommended so that's it.

I did. In a cinema full of gay couples having all kinds of fun, hetero couples where the men were trying to disapear into their seats and huge crowds of giggling women. I watched it with my dad. I do not know what we were thinking when we decided that gay cowboys would be entertaining... or atleast funny. His reaction: "Should there have ever been any doubt about my sexuality after fathering three children... that would have killed it."

The second time I watched it was in a huge group of hetero males. They had been dared and after a lot of back-slapping and raucous laughter they settled into the sofa... to turn into retching, hiding and disgustedly squealing girls during the first fuck. The movie was still shit but watching the reactions was better than the cheap "2girls1cup: my mums reaction" vids on youtube.

That reminds me! A few old TC shows you may want to check out.

Mork and Mindy, Taxi!, and Chico & the Man!

Chico & the Man was awesome. Freddy Prince Sr is epic.
