I agree. We've only been promised one for 5-6 years. I heard that after going through a slew of writers, they've finally asked Colfer to write the script. I can't wait to see it if it happens.

I'd love to see the Horus Heresy series (Warhammer 40k) made into a film, or a series of films. That would be fucking brilliant . Or the Ultramarines stories by Graham McNeill, that's a good set as well.

Other than that... I want to see Neil Gaiman/Terry Pratchett's Good Omens done. It would make for a great parody film .

 

I want to see the Foundation series by Isaac Asimov. I read the first two books of the original trilogy, and am deeply curious as to how it would look like on screen. As long as they don't get the I, Robot treatment.

I also would like to see a movie about a genetically engineered Taiwanese chef whose steed is a stick insect and wields a gun that shoots velociraptors in a quest to save his big-busomed girlfriend.

 

-Knights of the Old Republic. Preferably based on the first game. The plot was brilliant and it had awesome characters. That, and it was way better than the shitty prequels for the first trilogy.

-The Dresden Files (Done right and following the books. The series was meh)

-Hellblazer. This time without reeves and more faithful to the comic.

-Übel Blatt. Impossible, but can't blame a guy for dreaming. Fantasy, action, gore, half-naked chicks and horny midget-elf on steroids.

-Vampire The Masquerade: I'll never understand how it's never been done. They have it all, and the only thing they would have to do would be coming up with a decent plot. The premise is already set.

-Duke Nuke'm. It would be the most badass movie ever made.

 

Anyone could easily think of half a million different ways to fuck that one up... It would be badass, but can you find an actor to properly portray him? Screenwriter? Director? Can they actually pay tribute to the original game?

 

A Gargoyles movie.

How about a nice western? Jonah Hex from DC for the grim and gritty, or Bat Lash for a light hearted action romp and stomp.

Both DC and Marvel should open up there bottom tier assets.
Nobody would give a damn if the DC comics first venture in Sci Fi was a bomb if it was Space Cabby. But it could have been the Fifth Element?

 

Its coming... they announced it at the last blizzcon... Live action and its supposed to be set between wc3 and the beginning of Wow.

Zelda... without speaking parts for Link. Probably OOT, though probably something more like a smattering of the games - Link would need a sidekick like Midna to talk while he's being silent (not Navi lol, "HEY LISTEN"), otherwise the movie would be kinda blah.

It'd be ridiculously hard to pull off right, but it'd be cool. Zelda just has the right tone for a motion picture. Better chances at succeeding than most video games.

Dragonball Z just for hilarity's sake.

 

I thought there were already plans to make DBZ into a live action flick.

But as long as were talking pipe dreams, I would like for Ousider by Jim Francis to be a live action movie. Cause this is how first contact should be done, hewman style.
