I like the singles DIIV has been releasing for their upcoming album. Lo-fi shoegaze/indie rock feel:

    Blankenship *my favorite

    Taker

    Skin Game

White 2115 - Mogę Dziś Umierać (dds. Bootleg)

It's in Polish, but I've decided to translate the entire song, because I like it that much:

    Whtie 2115 - I Can Die Today

New hoodie, new fit and a new shock
I play on the big scene, like a true star, young Don
She dances for me, for me, for me, for me like J-Lo
Baby dance today, I'm not counting how much I'll spend today
Baby have fun, as if the world was going to sleep soon
Your eyes are bigger now, oh, and I see they are shiny
Brag to your friends, that you did it with White
    I don't know what's a fashion blogger
    I don't know what's trendy now
Someone wants a picture with me
But I refuse, I don't have the force anymore
Some third-rate portal will throw shit at me
They'll ask again, if I'm sane
I want one thing, for you to give me some doping

    And I can die today
    Barman pours for me again
    Pure please, don't mix
I have ice from the jeweler
    Always in Jupiters
    Everyone looks at me now
I can do everything, look at the raider
It's written that I die today, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Baby I can die today, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Baby I can die today, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Baby I can die today, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
    It's written in my genes

VVS is on me, like on my accounts
The dance-floor is mine, like it was Travolta's
They don't want a boy, but a god
    Expensive homes and new experiences
Expensive clothes and the taste of fashion
Please, don't yell, fuck, for me to slow down
And don't make a wry face when looking at me
To the city they drag me like founde
I do bodyboming to some bitch
If I don't come back, never forget
That this year was blown apart by a young blond guy
All around wry faces, those aren't the war grounds
They give me dopamine like molly to coke
My career just started, phones are ringing

But I can die today, if you let me
    I can die today
    Barman pours for me again
    Pure please, don't mix
I have ice from the jeweler
    Always in Jupiters
    Everyone looks at me now
I can do everything, look at the raider
It's written that I die today, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Baby I can die today, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Baby I can die today, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Baby I can die today, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
    It's written in my genes

For whatever reason, I've been listening to the soundtrack of 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' lately. Two songs have really grabbed me:

The Stones - 'Out of Time'

    Deep Purple - 'Hush'

The Stones song has a weird history. Mick Jagger wrote it for another artist, Chris Farlowe, who had a hit with it in 1966. A decade later, the Stones recorded their version over the other guy's orchestral arrangement, and it's a fucking banger. I can't get it out of my head.

The Deep Purple song is a banger too, and it's impressive that it came out in 1968, before Zeppelin or Sabbath existed. That is some seriously hard rock for 1968.
