Lately for me its all been about The Chemical Brothers and Nine Inch Nails, good stuff, techno and Industrial bands are becoming my liking lately.

 

I have a massive playlist of a wide variety of music. So really whatever plays plays although I sometimes will re-arrange it to play some songs more often. I was reading darkfiction recently and found I liked gorillaz plus a few manson songs for that, with a few cold songs mixed in. I particularly like 'insane'.

 

I've been listening to Blue October lately, specifically their third album "History for Sale". Beyond that though whatever is on the radio will generally do.

 

I tend to listen to some uptune beats to get me into some fics mainly some of Blink 182's old shit as well as some Millincolin, but for fight/action scenes its always good to get into some Drowning pool, even a bit of Manson on the side. Adversity is always good...

 

I only listen to music I REALLY like, if not, I just shut it down. I am extremely impatient, so I am constantly changing the order of my playlist to suit my needs.

And when I listen to music, I get real involved. There is no such thing as "background" music for me, either I listen, or I don't.

As such, listening to music for me is a very engaging job, so I can't read at the same time.

The only exception is Mi Mancherai, by Josh Groban, the only classical song I'll ever admit to listening to, just because it's so damn good.

I never listen to music because I end up splitting my focus between the music and reading. I listen to music pretty much every other second of the day, so not listening to it while reading isn't a big deal.

 

i just let winamp shuffle. i don't pick any specific song while i read fanfic.

 

I cant read when something is noisy. Its impossible.

 

I don't listen to music all that often, and whenI do, it is all from songs I copy from my friend...Normally, I don't listen to music while reading anything, but I occassionally listen to some Greenday albums, Nimrod most recently, with a bit of the Killers and Weezer as well.
