Hey man, don't knock ItaSaku. That one is worth it if only for Deidara vs. Sakura in the first chapter or so.

The sequel of course, ruins it horribly.

I kind of also lost track of where I was last time in this thread in regards to updating the list. Heh, maybe I might be able to do it sometime tomorrow. I was hoping to get a scene written for a story I created for Lightning_Count (the vast majority of his works are over at the spacebattles forum), but I'll see if I can find where I was last in here and try to work out another list of what's been added from there so I can add it to the list.

Of course, I may also just end up sleeping the whole damn day. So, no promises, but I'll make an effort at any rate.

While I cannot deny how well written this story is, I fail to see how "Raven ANBU" is Naruto in anything but looks...

Good story though, very good.

Edit: Chapter 2, Kakashi vs. Zabuza was fucking awesome. I wish that manga fights would go like that.

 

Took the words right out of my mouth. Still it seems to be a good story even if the characters are a bit OOC. Also Kakashi is fucking awesome in this story and it really makes me wish he was more like this in canon. I also like how author does S-rank ninjas in this story, it actually make a lot more sense then how they are normally done in fanfics.

 

I hate it. Therre's entirely too much emphasis on rank.

Bumped for epic fic. Iruka-centric fic crossed with a few other anime/manga, and it is awesome despite all that potential fail. Was recced this from TFF and I damn near read the entire thing in one sitting.

 

Except it wasn't.

Personally, that is as far as I will read. Even if it's nice to know there are a few non-yaoi Iruka stories out there. Who knows, it might get better later on, but I can't read through that.

 

Iztiak always has such a nice way of saying something is shit.

Burn that fic, it is horrible never mind epic. Really, slang has no place in literature, except if it is something people in the setting that the story is set in would say. Then it is OK. Obviously, this is not the case here.

 

Slang can also be used in the style of writing. it may set a certain type of theme/mood for the story but only if used correctly.

 

Slang's plenty useful, as long as you're using it like your character would and not as your writing style.

I mean one expects Naruto to sound hyper and uncultured, Kiba to sound rude, etc. etc. etc. Slang's good for that. But when the quotes close and the shit continues, or your intelligent character are talking cant...

Then we have a problem.
