Impression: Okay. I've been bored for awhile. Surarrin hasn't updated so I haven't gotten a good Naruto fix in awhile. I like this fic because the character dynamics are excellent and the action sequences decent. However, you'll have to trudge through the first 4 chapters before this fic starts becoming decent. He has yet to post a lot of the chapters on fanfic so look to Krakenghost's livejournal July 13th for the rest of the chapters (up to 6 or so). Chapters 7/8 should be on geor-sama's webjournal.

It stinks, the plot is overused and done so unrealisticly its beyond words. So many 'rookie' mistakes and the such...

Its just unreadable for me.

It was original back then. One of a kind.

 

It was...in this one (#23) and in the former Naruto Fan Fiction thread.

I used to read it back then, too. It was one of the first Naruto fics I came across and, needless to say, I was pretty undemanding in that area at that time (meaning I read almost any shit happily). But even then, this one was so bad that I couldn't bring myself to pull through it...and I tried multiple times.
Well, it surely isn't the worst one there is but still nothing to be recommended.

 

Yeah, back in the day that fic was one of the best you could find. It still is pretty good, but now the plot has been overused, to a point. You hardly see fics out there where Naruto joins up with the Akatsuki. At least, I hardly see them.

 

Nah...I didn't mean it was bad because it's by now cliched as hell and I'm aware of the fact that it was somewhat pioneer-like. Still, even if you ignore all the cliches, its writing was mediocre at best, the character developement and relationships were just weird, there were too many unneeded OCs (many different names came up which then had only 1 or 2 appearances) and Naruto was plainly overpowered to no end (even if he trained with the Akatsuki).
Well...'OK' considering when it was written but today...meh =/

 

It was one that I liked back when it first came out but now... well... I found better stories.

Um... what? You're teaching an inexperienced and untrained barely-a-ninja a jounin kinjutsu? For what, a whim?

And the author says that Naruto is smarter than the average ten year old... wtf is up with the reaction? (-w-)p

As to the story:
I don't mind fics incorporating the Kage Bunshin but if I wanted one that revolves around that technique, I could as well read the manga =/

 

Sorry, on PSP but how about Naruto: Legacy of the Rasengan? 23 chapters, original after the Wave Arc and -gasp- Naruto isnt overpowered. Only con is future NaruHina... though I start to like the pairing...

 

I don't think I could ever be sold on that pairing. Hinata is way too much like Ginny Weasley with the whole shy stalking/hero worshipping thing. I can't look past that whenever I try to be objective about Naru/Hina, and I have tried.

 

Hinata has money, looks, and a powerful Clan. Ginny... has nothing. Besides... I have a thing for shy girls.
