Indeed, Hanabi is probably the ONLY decent Hyuuga. I just probably have a soft spot for Hinata for my shy fetish. Anywho... CHECK OUT THE FIC!

 

I have started to read that Legacy of the Rasengan fic before. I dropped it the second I noticed it would be Naruto/Hinata.

 

I thought it was pretty good, its been quite a few chapters and only slight if any hints to Naru/Hinata going on. He's to focused on his jutsu right now..

And I can read Naruto/Hinata... Its just that I dare not brave the school fics to get to anything decent.

*Sudders at the thought*

Naruto/Hanabi is better anyway. Only (Most times.. er, I think?) Good authors try that pairing..

 

Heh...Hanabi is a smaller version of Hinata with an acceptable hairstyle, a better sense of fashion (not that difficult if you take a look at that shitty jacket of Hinata) and a somewhat 'deep' character (even if it's bratty and cocky...well still better than the damn shyness). Still, the freaky white eyes, the gay taijutsu style and the fact that she's a Hyuuga remain. I can't help it but i simply hate this clan...they should all die or at least learn some decent jutsu like others that doesn't make you fall asleep when watching them fight.
Well, but while most Naruto/Hinata stories frighten me off before even starting, I don't mind the Hanabi pairing as long as Naruto has minimal contact to any of the other members (no pairing in the world could make me read 'Naruto adopted/trained by the Hyuuga' or shit even remotely similar to that).
Bah...I must really hate them :?

 

All the Naruto/Hanabi fics that I've seen are all well written. Dont know any off the top of my head but theres some on FF.net I think.

 

Heh...good for your readers. Still, even if it now has the same level of quality as your other fic, the genre simply doesn't appeal to me. Also, the dark past of your story with all the teddy bears and stuff still unsettles me a bit too much =/
Never even think about incorporating anything even remotely similar to teddy bears in Intertwined! YOU HEAR ME??!!!

Eh...the discussion before that revolved somewhat around the looks...so I was talking solely about that, too. In other words my post meant: Take Hinata, let her grow her hair, burn the ugly jacket, give her halfway decent clothes and let her shrink a bit = Hanabi's looks
Also, I remember that I said that her character is quite different...

True...but since we probably won't see much of Hanabi's character in canon, that's the only thing we can go about. And since the manga shows us typical Hyuuga main house traits like the feeling of superiority and smugness, this conclusion about Hanabi's character doesn't seem too far away...if she were totally 'un-Hyuuga-like' she probably wouldn't have been declared heir either.

Bah...they suck! The two big fights Neji had were enough to show me that. Though I dislike most characters with only taijutsu to use, I particularly hate the Jyuuken. Some pushing with the palms, some poking with the fingers and spinning around...that's it. At least Lee has super speed and can go berserk. For me taijutsu is the base for fighting but what makes them really interesting and often decides them are jutsus, preferably flashy =)
So I wouldn't mind the Jyuuken if it was backed up by some jutsu...but the way it is now...well it really makes me fall asleep =/

Well...there is no real reason considering that in canon the Hyuuga (and the whole village in fact -.-) don't seem to mind Naruto. That's one thing i hate about canon, anyway...that the supposed hatred suddenly vanished and everybody is happy. But if the story were somewhat realistic (unlike canon), some conflicts with the Hyuuga family are quite inevitable. They are nobles, should, like the rest of the village, hate or at least dislike Naruto and probably wouldn't want to blemish their good reputation by consorting with him. But since most stories with a Hinata/Hanabi - Naruto pairing push him into the clan anyway, no matter what reason, I can only pray that this contact stays minimal

Ehh...really...I might not like the Hyuuga, I might not like a pure taijutsu Naruto and I might not like OCs (needed or not) but your story was just strange. Not only did it incorporate all the elements I dislike but what you did with it was just weird...what was that with the monster teddy bears?! Huh?! When I look at Intertwined I often wonder how the same author can write something that good while writing something that bad/weird in his other story :?

Heh...just finished reading 'Legacy of the Rasengan' up to the latest chapter. It sure was a struggle for me at the beginning for it really wasn't much more than pure recounting with some new tricks on Naruto's side. Anyway, the rather nice writing kept me going and it's true that after Wave the story loosens up more and more (even if it's been a long way...12-13 chapters). By now it's pretty creative and only follows the main plot line from canon (which it probably always will). Another thing, aside from the writing style, that i liked throughout the whole story were the great jutsu ideas the author came up with. There's actually a nice progress visible when it comes to jutsu creation. Despite starting simple, they're still quite cool and useful and gradually increase in difficulty and potential. So no moronic and useless but neither completely overpowered jutsus...quite rare to find. Ah...and the fighting scenes are also nice once he stops recounting canon fights.
One thing I definitely disliked though, was the constant overuse of japanese swearwords...it's fine to see 'baka' or 'teme' in a conversation between characters once in a while but in this fic they pop up everywhere.
Another thing is the 'mask' business...I actually don't mind this element in Naruto fics but here it seemed to have no significance at all. He heard once that deception is sooo great, played the dumb part most of his life just because of that and is then suddenly frustrated that no one acknowledges him...it's not that he had any real reason to hide anything in the first place like bad intentions towards Konoha or stuff like that. Also, the mask just 'hides' his serious and talented part while always showing him like the stupid and happy goody-goody when his real self is in fact quite the same (except for said seriousness).
Hmm...don't really know why I post this here...I should really write that guy a review =/
